I learned today that South Korean women are doing a full blown birth & relationships strike to combat misogyny and other structural issues in their society, enough that itβs actually statistically affecting birth rates and causing the govt to talk about changing policies.

1. Subspecies are a subset of a species, meaning that they're still the same species. That's why they can interbreed.
2. Dogs and wolves are only different species in the morphological sense. In the biological sense, they're largely the same.

It's not really about them not liking their bodies. The point is that people shouldn't be insulting them anyway.
If they are trying to lose weight, that takes a long time. Are they supposed to be mocked until they get to their goal weight?

Socialization. Young girls are often told to be comfortable with things that make them uncomfortable. So, when something more egregious occurs, they don't feel comfortable having strong negative reactions.

The difference is that Copernicus had proof. The Church didn't. Most of what we accept as settled science relies on evidence now, so it isn't as subject to debate as it was back then.

Everyone can see race is real. We have eyes. The thing that's up for debate is whether race determines who you are as a person.

It's literally the only disease that WILL make skin whiter than paper. A naturally dark skinned person who bleaches their skin wouldn't even reach this color.

The reality in which you all live is truly fascinating. Wherein a black man can punch a white woman in the face for no reason and get off scot free.
That would be a shame, if it were real.

Monkeys usually have pale skin, thin lips and straight hair. Those features are not particularly common in black people. Maybe some other groups, though.
All humans resemble primates to an extent. We are primates.

@Henrik_Palmgren
Well, most diverse is a bit of an exaggeration. White people have a wider array of hair and eye colors, but other groups have a wider array of skin tones, hair textures, and facial features.

Ah, yes. One example of erratic behavior means black people aren't part of ANY species.
Get a grip. Go outside, touch grass, etc.

White people have far more oily hair than black people. Straighter hair allows oils to travel down the hair strand.
Just saying.
Also: white people are easy to "get", for those who exclusively desire them. And yet, most black men are married to black women.

Chances are pretty high that this isn't in the U.S., but in Jamaica. Contrary to popular belief, we don't all share a culture. Jamaicans aren't really big rappers or ballers.
This is a dance style called daggering.

@ferniesbookclub
Are you genuinely stupid? The tweet LITERALLY says that people like you believe that you're equivalent to people like them because you share the same skin tone.
@monitoringbias
Saying race is skin deep isn't meant to be scientific fact. It's meant to be a statement about race not determining who you are.
When someone discriminates against a black person, they're not looking at their cortical surface. They're looking at their skin color.
@unsatis18339627
Bro. That's...a really weird way to look at that.
Also: how is one biracial child being born the death of a race? White people have been around for thousands of years and will likely continue to be.
@_HeavensEquall
It's just easier to wear a wig sometimes. Is that so wrong?
I oscillate between wigs, braids, and my own hair, depending on how much upkeep I feel like dealing with.

Grizzly bears and polar bears are actually the same species according to the biological species model. They're only not the same species using the more common morphological model.

The court of public opinion is not the court of law. There's no innocent until proven guilty here.
Not only that, but Tate basically admitted to this. He said, proudly, that he has a house full of cam girls that he employs.

She doesn't get that she needs to walk away from the screen, or that she should at the very least feel weird about it. A lot of young girls don't understand that until it's too late.

The average black person doesn't look like that, though. Objectively.
I mean it's one thing to think that those people are ugly, and another thing to think these people are ugly, but don't misrepresent the facts.

Intetesting how this doesn't poverty into account. The poorest areas and the blackest areas of the United States tend to be the same.

Most black women aren't wearing wigs outside of social media. And the ones that are aren't wearing blonde wigs, bleaching their skin, or wearing contacts. None of the black influencers that I follow are, anyway.

Integration happened because Plessy vs. Ferguson wasn't upheld by local governments. Separate, they managed quite well, but they seemed to struggle with "equal".
It wasn't forced on anyone.
