knowing whose advice to take and about what
– such an underrated factor in decision-making
reminds me of Ray Dalio's method of "believability weighting" (assigning more weight to opinions of ppl who've successfully accomplished the thing in question & have clear explanations)
update:
1) EEG headset - acquired
2) marauder's map of my uni showing tunnels to find roaches - acquired
3) offer to do my honours research with the prof - unexpected but also acquired

basically the same tech – but one helps ppl with parkinson's walk, while the other regulates heartbeats
the tech: pulse generator put under the skin & connected to needed sites w/ electrodes
v cool how timely electrical pulses have such dif impacts based on *where* they're used
ppl say don’t “multitask”, but i think what they mean is don’t “multi-focus”. many tasks don’t require attention
eg. u can easily walk, chew gum, and listen to an audio book (multi-task)
vs. read and watch a movie (multi-focus)
Why don’t we target the inevitable cause of our decline, aging, before it happens?
Excited to announce a moonshot fund to catalyze the longevity field to new heights. We won’t stop until we all have agency over how long we can live in good health.
@chrislevan24
got rejected by practically all the uni clubs i applied to and i cried for a week
but instead i got 5 internships in 8 months and worked at YC companies. instead of finding panelists for clubs, i became the panelist :))
We had an amazing time at the

@pillar_vc
event tonight!
Many thanks to the wonderful folks at
@pillar_vc
who put this together and huge thank you to everyone who came today to mingle and learn about founder led bio! 🧬
7) Join a co-living house instead. Meet new like-minded people and maybe create something together.
@amiyoshimura_
took the time to make a list of them here:
Longevity meet up success!😸
Thank you to everyone who came out tonight to hangout and chat about awesome aging research ideas & bottlenecks in the field!

, we’re open-sourcing all the knowledge and knowhow of building biotech companies.
Today we’re launching the Founder-led Biotech Ecosystem – a curated, open-source set of community-built resources. And we want your contribution!

what's even COOLER than the colour imo, is that it's caused by particles going FASTER than the surrounding light
(although relativity says nothing can go faster than light in a vacuum, light slows down in mediums like water (~.75c) so some particles can go faster than it)
“Most of what happens in nature is difficult to perceive. It is too fast or slow, too big or small, too distant, too hidden, or governed by laws too different from anything that influenced our evolution” —

i don’t consider luck to be finite or pieces of a pie to be shared
in my experience, luck is comparable to a “state” that some are particularly good at tapping into (the fork > the pie itself)
that said,
@pmarca
says there’s 4 different types of luck!
pulse generators leading to diff useful responses based on *where* they're used reminds me of our endocrine system–
like how the same input hormone becomes diff based on *where* it goes (ie. its target organ)

I’m not education expert but I would personally have liked if school was more for providing resources, networks, and mentorship rather than learning.
