Top 4 at Pittsburgh regionals with Lugia! The deck definitely has more skill expression than it’s given credit for, although I certainly also had a few big flips go my way. Shoutout to @Smart_TCG and @CalvinConnorTCG for playing same 59 and to my sponsor @DeadDrawGaming #DDGWin

TOP 8 at Peoria Regionals with Palkia Inteleon! It was an amazing weekend; I went 13-1-1 in swiss before losing Top 8 against @calvinconnor12 in mirror after I drew poorly off of his Marnie in game 3. Super happy to make cut and can’t wait to see how the rest of the season goes!

Top 32 at NAIC with Turbo LZB! Just wanted to get points to lock up my Day 2 invite to Worlds and the LAIC TA, so can’t complain about the placement. Didn’t play Kyogre because I was worried about time issues, then managed to go 9-0-6 after hitting 7 Arceus decks anyways 🙃

Top 32 at Milwaukee. Pretty proud of the placement considering I had very limited practice with Kyogre before the event and was still learning a lot of matchups on the fly. Most of my losses were at least partially on me, which is usually how it is with Lost Zone.

@ciaran_tcg Prize cards are one of the most unique+fun parts of the game, oftentimes forcing you to adapt your strategies on the fly and come up with creative ways to win. Also punishes greedy deckbuilding or decks that may be a bit too good if they always had every option available (Gardy).

@thefleeee I do not feel single tournament results based goals are very helpful in general Rather, go into a tournament simply attempting to play your best each round. If you can do that, you will often find yourself in a position even better than you may have set your goal for.

@AbrandNewMac I don't get why people are constantly posting about wanting supporters back going first. The current rules leave going first/second a somewhat close decision with positives and drawbacks for many decks. If your deck relies on supporters to set up t1, choose second!

Won a 180 person event and 64 person event this week with Arc Intel w/ damage mods (Choice Belt, Zigzagoon, Scrapper, and Quick Shooting ). Same 59 for both events, cut 3rd Incense for 3rd Level Ball. Mods prob worse than more consistency but they make Arc less linear + more fun.

While these SPEs are great to give LATAM players a fair chance at an invite, it seems unfair that players from other regions can travel to them and earn the same amount of championship points as a regional competing against likely far less players. Why are SPEs not region locked?

@Azul_GG I agree, even in matches that I win I feel like there are usually multiple things I could have done to improve my odds, and in losses there are often even more. The majority of the time, just because you generally got lucky/unlucky doesn’t mean you couldn’t have made better plays

@beccabaddest unless you are good at it, i wouldn’t worry about figuring out all 6 prizes. check for cards that are: important/matchup relevant/needed based on opening hand/plan for first couple turns. otherwise you will potentially use a lot of time (could lead to tie) and stress yourself out

@ciaran_tcg I have never had anyone take back a prizes agreement, the two options are either admit you lied or sign the slip. Most board state agreements if not between two friends end up being “too close to call” and just taking a tie. Sometimes you can’t do prizes but prizes is preferred.

@thefleeee Not every tournament will go how you want, due to things both in and out of your control. Near the end of day 1/day 2 is the only time making a “goal” is useful since you need to figure out how many match points you need for a specific result (if ties help or should be avoided)

2ND PLACE at @AFDeSports Weekly #5 with single strike! the deck is still good, although ice rider becoming more popular is pretty bad seeing as that is a difficult mu (2-0d by it in finals). great ball still pretty good.

WON @RealSunnyGames Sunny's Weekly with jolteon! been trying this deck recently because it has a fairly decent mew matchup (which you can improve further with more techs, i went for more consistency today). added captures bc i was tired of missing turn 2 attack; didnt brick once.

@jakekgearhart Agreed, I don’t like Pokémon’s “different random” rules and I would have been fine if they had chosen not to give Le a DPL against me

TOP 4 at @chrolloevents with ice rider! the deck is very fun to play, and ice rider has pretty good mus across the board. thanks to @caquimTCG for working on the list with me and letting me borrow vmaxes. scooped @MunchlaxTCG into finals bc i had to go after super close games.
