Top 32 at NAIC with Turbo LZB! Just wanted to get points to lock up my Day 2 invite to Worlds and the LAIC TA, so can’t complain about the placement. Didn’t play Kyogre because I was worried about time issues, then managed to go 9-0-6 after hitting 7 Arceus decks anyways 🙃

With arceus being pretty popular moving forward is turbo lzb Kyogre just better than without Kyogre ?

It definitely could be a good idea to include Kyogre and would make the matchup easier although I don't think the Arceus matchup is horrible for regular Turbo either (I went 4-0-3 vs Arceus, although I definitely got a bit lucky at times)

It's possible, I was more worried about streamlining my list for the Gardevoir and Lost Box matchups since I did not expect Arceus to be that popular (and it really wasn't, it just did extremely well and a lot made day 2, although it will probably get more popular moving forward)

If you wanted to try to add an answer you could add a Choice Belt or Bravery Charm, or just switch to one with Kyogre. With this list I was often either trying to outspeed them if I could take out their only Arceus before they set up, or trying to do Dragonite + Roxanne plays 1/2

Potentially trying to make the deck better against Arceus could be good seeing how well that did compared to its play rate, but for the expected meta I think it was a good list

hey andrew congrats just i see a bunch of people are moving away from the lost box kyogre to turbo lost box. Are there any reasons in particular for this ? I myself pre paldea loved the kyogre build

You are stronger against Gardy and other Lost Zone decks without Kyogre, which are two of the most popular decks. However it is definitely nice against Arceus and Lugia to have Kyogre, but neither matchup is terrible without it.
