@thefleeee I do not feel single tournament results based goals are very helpful in general Rather, go into a tournament simply attempting to play your best each round. If you can do that, you will often find yourself in a position even better than you may have set your goal for.

This is a great sentiment to have, remember the feeling of not achieving your goal when you don't and think about what you can do better for the next one. When I have a bad performance it stings for a while but it's what you do with that feeling and how you can learn and improve

I've learned in the pokemon tcg that there's always another tournament. Don't get too high or too low, stay humble and learn from mistakes. You scrubbed out? Bummer. There's another tournament. You won? Great! There's another tournament. Even the best players drop out of day 1.

@pokehawkeye Actually way better advice, one game at a time and focus on playing your best. Thanks Andu ❤️

@thefleeee Not every tournament will go how you want, due to things both in and out of your control. Near the end of day 1/day 2 is the only time making a “goal” is useful since you need to figure out how many match points you need for a specific result (if ties help or should be avoided)
