Lukewarm take. This Frigibax is still optimal if you want to include a 70 HP Frig. The option to do 50 is actually relevant against Arcana Gardevoir and Roaring Moon. If I'm ever using Collect I'm probably going to lose that game anyways.

Finished 40th at OCIC with my take on Lugia. Fairly standard besides Lax. I went 7-1-1 day one and had a frustrating 1-4 day 2. I wont complain about 130 cp though! I'm at the airport to start my vacation in NZ, and flying to Vancouver Regionals after that!

The main use I've found for hands is it makes miraidon and moon winnable if you start pao, and it makes lz favourable. I'd say I only use it 25% of my games, but it feels super high impact whenever I do

One thing I'd like to see implemented is CP based on match points. This way you fix the lopsided numbers at tournaments and give people something to play for when they're out of cut. So maybe say 16 points gives 20 CP and then you get an extra 5 for every additional match point.

Just booked my flight to Australia for OCIC! Never thought I'd be going to this event, but the travel stipend and the remote work policy at my company is making it a reality. Going to be spending a month between Australia and New Zealand. Should be an awesome trip!

Had a great week in London for EUIC 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿! Finished Top 128, netting me NAIC Stipend and +100 CP! Lugia plays very different now and I didn't feel like my play was as sharp as it was last format. Not sure if I'll play it again, but felt very strong when I set up. Penny was mvp btw

I have tons of thoughts on the invite structure and how the Pokemon circuit could be improved. Right now there's tons of problems with affordability, attendance discrepancy, time commitment, and Worlds or bust. Going to discuss with @TCG_Aneil on Shiftgear this week!

Invites were way too easy this year. Next year I’d rather see this for the NA structure: 350 points for invite 0 points from locals Scale down points received from ICs.

Decided to be a coward and tie round 9 to secure day 2. Was facing a strong opponent in @tablemon , and the points tomorrow should help set me up for top 16 race. I started 2-2, so can't complain about another day 2 with Lugia. Hopefully I can make a run tomorrow!
