Persisting simple props was fun and all but wanted to see if we can get crazier with the #r3f -editor, You can now select any image on your computer, or drag one into the panel to set the texture for materials. We will persist this back as a `useLoader` hook

The number of frameworks being built on top of vite is the biggest singular reason that more frameworks will be built on top of it. It’s self perpetuating. Nothing hardens software like being stretched in all directions like this.

when i talk about how great the consolidation on vite is i get the generic “but diversity” argument the point of diversity is resilience and that’s exactly what’s going on here competing frameworks with different goals pushing the same core is the ultimate form of diversity

A fun part of the #r3f editor is that you can have properties that are being controlled by other systems but still visualized in the editor. I can disable these inputs .. This is the gestures demo where the rotation is animated, and the position is controlled by the gesture

Gotta say, felt like a magician wielding @tan_stack query, charts and table along with some tailwind.. impressed the heck out of some colleagues by whipping out a beautiful dashboard in a day

I think this was the first time our work had been showed off in the public and no one better than @RyanCarniato to do it! Must watch.

My Vite Conf talk, where I introduced `server$` functions, RPC dataloaders/actions, and Island Routing(Solid Server Components) is now posted. It covers library vs framework and of course plenty of @vite_js love❤️. One of my favorite talks I gave last year. I highly recommended.

Let's go, @solid_js folks, I'm trying to explain Vinxi like I'm 5 in 60 seconds. Keep me honest... btw, this is how I feel like doing this shorts thing. Took me longer to edit this than it usually takes a 10min video.

It’s sooo bloody useful we include it by default in SolidStart.. just to http://localhost:3000/__inspect and you get so much insight and debuggability into the vite pipeline

It's packages (and the thought behind it) like this that make me think @vite_js is the real deal! How many times have you configured a plugin and have no idea what's happening? Not something you need day-to-day... but a life saver when you do 🚀🚀🚀

Did another thing. Added support for `request()` anywhere in your server component tree or server actions to get access to the Request object. Also, added integration for ` @auth /core` , so all the next-auth providers providers work out of the box.

Here's another one but with React Server Components (with a SPA) this time and server actions. See if it makes intuitive sense to you @lubieowoce (assume we will make some of the changes discussed earlier)

Finally was able to understand all the maths to be able to do this.. the grass, ground and player position all being controlled by a noise texture.. Only rendering the amount of ground/grass visible by the player, trying to stay blazingly fast 🚀

Needed to get the player walking at ground level, surprising difficult to emulate the WebGL texture2D function in javascript..

Made it easy to load GLTF models for the meshes and play/edit modes in the editor. Pressing space toggles between the two modes

This is the reason we are experimenting with server components in @solid_js as well! They solve a different set of problems than the ones reactivity aimed to solve. Both of these together 🤌

Sam Parr credits a practice called "copywork" for helping him build an 8-figure media business. He learned it from Benjamin Franklin, and it's the way we used to teach kids how to write. The method is simple: have people copy others' writing by hand. Simple as that — and…
