I bite my tongue a lot, but I worked on Windrush and I am seriously uncomfortable calling for an "inquiry" into Manston. If the Govt did it, they would drag it out for years refusing to answer questions or change anything. Can we be serious and ask for what's needed.

In 2019, the Foreign Affairs Select Committee warned that “a policy that focuses exclusively on closing borders will drive migrants to take more dangerous routes, and push them into the hands of criminal groups". Priti Patel was on this committee. They know the dangers.
