Many people have contacted me about the use of St James Hotel for illegal migrants. I intervened as soon as I found out about the plans. Ministers agreed with me that it is an inappropriate location and have now withdrawn the plan. A good result for #Grimsby

The UK now has a trade deal with Japan that is better than the one with the EU and Japan. Importantly, tariffs on fish are lower and traditional #Grimsby smoked fish is one of the geographical indicators replicated in the Japan trade deal.

Met with Emily and her guide dog Rosie yesterday as part of the Guide Dogs’ campaign to make sure people who need to have an assistant dog can get into shops or in taxis or onto public transport, which is shocking in this day-and-age that is still an issue. @guidedogs
