It won’t be QE, it will be “restoring financial stability”.
It won’t be YCC, it will be “fixing market dysfunction”.
It won’t be a bail-out, it will be “exigent & unusual circumstances”.
It won’t be indefinite debt monetization, it will be “a targeted, limited intervention”.
The idea of a bi-polar or multi-polar trading system just doesn’t accord with reality.
China *dominates* trade even more than the U.S. did at its post-WW2 peak.
This is an uncomfortable fact with which western geoeconomic strategy must reckon.
We can’t live in a fantasy…
"In place of a unified world trading system, many U.S. policymakers have resigned themselves to the idea that the world is sorting itself into two or more trading groups — one led by the U.S. and one by China."

If MSTR is added to the S&P500, index funds have to buy it according to its market weight, which boosts its price, which increases the MSTR premium allowing Saylor to issue more equity & debt to buy more BTC, which makes BTC go up, which increases MSTR & index weight, etc…

You gotta love how Microstrategy went from a top 2000 company to a top 300 company by marketcap in less than a month lol
We were just hypothesizing when they'd get added to S&P500 and now they're 2x the threshold...

This person also indicated they were recently given a SCIF briefing on the “Grusch stuff”.

A key difference imo is the nature of the Treasury market itself.
Unlike 40s (or even 70s), USTs are the foundational reserve asset & collateral for global $ system.
Just about every major power/institution has made severe strategic mistakes:
EU relying on RU energy.
Putin invading Ukraine.
Xi sticking to Covid-Zero.
The Fed missing inflation.
Japan monetary policy at a dead-end.
The UK letting pensions almost trigger another Lehman.
Everyone is stuck, with no good options:
Putin can’t win, but can’t retreat.
Xi can’t grow, but can’t shrink.
Fed can’t bid USTs, but needs to keep USTs bid.
ECB can’t let Italian bonds go, but can’t keep seeing German PPI grow.
BOJ can’t drop YCC, but can’t kill JPY.

In 1945, Treasury Secretary Morgenthau set a cash reporting threshold of $10,000 to combat black marketeering during WW2.
This threshold was codified & broadened in the Bank Secrecy Act in 1972 & never changed.
W/ inflation, that $10K would equate to a ~$175K threshold today.

When a UFO whistleblower told Congress in July that the government had retrieved alien spacecraft and "biologics," many dismissed his claims. But now, dozens of whistleblowers have given testimony to Congress, the Pentagon, and the IC Inspector General corroborating his claims.
The question is why?
If there is nothing to this UAP stuff, what harm would it do to have an independent review board look into it?
Seems we need some reporters to look into what exactly is motivating the “Mikes” to weaken the Schumer Amendment in the FY24 NDAA?
This story is 100% accurate. An extremely powerful Defense Aerospace lobby is pushing key politicians in Congress to block the Schumer Amendment to the NDAA.

In 2023, I significantly updated my credences on UAPs, ending the year effectively certain (95-99%) of the following core facts:

(B) Increasingly many folks in official positions know (A) is true.

There are now a lot of people (in Congress, their staff, and the NSC/EOP) that know what they all know.

Note that the SSCI is ~8 months ahead of the HOC in their investigation behind-the-scenes (Grusch testified in secret in DEC2022 after ICIG referral).
I expect the FBI/DoJ also has cases open to investigate criminal allegations (threats, fraud, etc).
This has quite a # of legs.
I detect a sea-change in UAP "strategic communications" evidenced by recent statements from:
Sens. Rubio, Gillibrand & Warner (all SSCI members) & Rep. Gallagher (who chairs the House Select Committee on China).
This is a serious issue that DC is slowly digesting...
Context:🧵
One consequence of the extreme secrecy, dysfunction (and likely illegality) involved here is that the normal modalities of USG strategic communication haven’t yet kicked into gear… this is a problem that I suspect/hope the WH/NSC & Gang of Eight are now scrambling to address…
It is an outrage the House didn’t work with us on our UAP proposal for a review board.
This means declassification of UAP records will be up to the same entities that have blocked and obfuscated their disclosure for decades.
We will keep working to change the status quo.
The strategic objective of Iran (and China/Russia) is to kill India Middle East Corridor (IMEC).
KSA-Israel “normalization” is just one press release from flipping back on, but these strategic geoeconomic alignments are the key crux.
I’m not sure if IMEC is dead yet, but 🤷♂️.
Saudi Arabia has announced it will suspend normalization with Israel.
This strategic Iranian victory was the point of the attack . It likely reduces the chances of full Hezbollah involvement. No point risking their second proxy now that the goal has been achieved.

Normally higher oil prices are bad for global growth because they convert foreign demand into Saudi savings, most of which is simply parked in the US and other advanced economies, and so doesn't fund an increase in investment that balances the original reduction in demand.
This inference would be true for most members of congress, but it fails when it’s the leadership of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence pushing most aggressively, not just to *investigate*, but *legislate* on the issue (as they already have, twice & likely again this FY).
The fact that some members of congress are pushing to investigate this more does not seem like a reason to take it more seriously at all. There are 535 members of congress and they are not exactly a high-wattage bunch. It would be surprising if it didn’t include some nutters.
