Startups are weird First startup: $1m to $20m = less than four years $20 to $25m = three LONG years Second Startup: $0 to $200k = almost three years! $200k to 1m = should be less than a year My takeaway: just keep shipping.

@neilpatel that's a pretty strong opinion for never having experienced coaching, no? there are a lot of bad coaches out threre - agreed. but for the record, there is a big difference between coaches, mentors, advisors, consultants etc., and the value they deliver.

@tferriss My exec coach lives by this. We meet for an hour each week and the first 5 minutes are all about resetting / priming. We do it with breathing exercises and then discuss what i'm grateful for and what is positive in my life. We do it in the middle of the day. it's a great reset.

@GoodsCapital For me, it's less about the total number and more about your ability (as a family) to stomach burning through it. We had well into the 7 figures but having to pull significant amounts of money out of investments every quarter is gut wrenching.

@jasonlk FWIW I thought 10-25 was a lot harder than 1-10. Implementing that 2nd layer of leaders can be bring on some real communication and alignment problems if you aren’t careful.

@dklineii Coaching. Coach managers to become better leaders. Coaching also helps ICs engage by offering development plan that is custom to them. People need that 1 on 1 attention during remote work. Problem? HR doesn't have the bandwidth, managers don't have capacity or knowledge.
