People still don't appreciate how cool Uniswap V3 is. I wanted to buy a token, I could have used a CEX and paid a ~0.5% fee, or a DEX and paid a ~0.3% fee. Instead, I set a range order on a V3 1% fee pool. I bought the token I wanted, and bots ended up paying ME over 10%!!

The Wormhole hack has a lot of crazy implications: Since all the ETH on Solana just went to 0, how quickly will AMMs get drained? How long until lending protocols are undercollateralized. This is the same scenario that will play out if Ethereum has a PoW fork after the merge.

One of the most overlooked security issues in Ethereum is ERC20 approvals. I've given up on my push for ERC777 to fix this... Our next chance to fix this is EIP-3074. 3074 will allow a user to approve a transfer, execute an action, then revoke the approval all in 1 transaction.

(1/10) The imBTC/Uniswap hack took advantage of the ERC777 standard, now I'm seeing many people saying that ERC777 is inherently bad or unsafe. ERC20 is safer than ERC777 in the same way that Bitcoin is safer than Ethereum. It's safe because it's limited. Here's some thoughts:

MEV lesson I just learned the hard way today: If you send a transaction using Flashbot's RPC endpoint, but accidentally switch your BetaBask network back to Ethereum Mainnet, it'll dump your transaction back into the public mempool, and you can still get sandwiched 🥪

Despite all the talk about "Arbitrum fees being higher than Ethereum", these were the average transaction fees for a Uniswap trade on Wednesday. Even with all the congestion, the average Uniswap trade was 31x more expensive on L1 than on Arbitrum.

Here ya go @pierre_rochard ! Connect to any node, audit any token (defaults to $COMP). Make sure all transfers and balances add up correctly and it matches the totalSupply() value. $COMP checks out, I'm sure there's some other tokens that fail.

All defenses are enabled on this one Uniswap V3 has: - License restricting forks for 2 years - Non-fungible LP tokens, making vampire attacks more complicated But they also have this DelegateCall blocker, which prevents Swerve-style delegate-forks.

Easy way to check if a chain is an EVM or not: Send a transaction with the following data: 0x60806040526020600020600080a133fffe If it emits a log starting with 0x290d & self-destructs then it's an EVM. Otherwise, it's just a VM.
