The beacon chain did not "halt", to suggest that it did is willfully spreading misinformation. Finalization was delayed for 3 epochs (about 19 minutes), and was recovered after turbulence. End users would have no idea this happened and transactions continued normally.

Some of you don't know that I started in cryptocurrency with bitcoin in 2011. I've learned enough to know that bitcoin is no longer a good fit for my goals and Ethereum is. I say this because it's not too late for other bitcoiners to make a change. It's okay to grow as a person.

Radical Decentralization. That's the goal of the Ethereum beacon chain. Cutting corners, taking the easy way out, relying on service providers and centralizing entities.. will only weaken our efforts and reduce the value of the chain. Lets get node operators validating in homes!

Staking on Ethereum isn't developed as an investment opportunity. No one is promising you high returns. It's an opportunity to serve the network and earn a small reward. Be wary of people who put their desire for a return above the responsibility they're accepting.

I'm not cheering for it. I'm not hopeful that it pulls through to ride another day. It was an effective cancer in the ecosystem. I hope the developers and bagholders find renewed purpose on other healthier projects that value deep decentralization.
