Exactly. Without academic due process (prior to dismissal, an adjudicative hearing before an elected faculty body at which the burden of proof falls on the administration), academic freedom is not protected and “tenure” is meaningless. #highered is not fooled by revised SB 18.

Adjuncts teach the classes & do the research that makes universities run, but are too often treated as 2nd-class citizens. Wages & conditions are so low that adjuncts are forced to cobble together three or four classes just to stay afloat.
