Maybe a wild idea here but I think a socialist critique of capitalism needs to be qualitive and not quantitative and the idea of reformism is completely demolished under a qualitative exposition. It is also this qualitative aspect that sets the horizon for socialist activity.

Venezuela wants to “annex” 70% of Guyana’s land via a 200 year old land dispute. Venezuela’s population is 28.5 million and Guyana’s is 743 thousand. Venezuela’s military is over 15 times larger than Guyana’s and heavily funded. A deeply concerning time.

The definition of proletarian matters because it distinguishes reactionary unions of bourgeois service work from proletarian labor which is unionized. The amazon union is proletarian. The starbucks union is not. If you don’t understand this, you never will.

If you think Marx didn't envision markets in Socialism then you really don't understand Marxism. Capitalism and having markets in Socialism is not the same thing. Many, if not all, US politicians fail to understand this. I suggest re-reading Marx if you don't understand this.
