I’m convinced anyone who criticises him outside of his willingness to be more selfish in front of goal and his professionalism of keeping in shape doesn’t understand the game
Not Messi, not Kane, Agüero or Sterling... "Eden Hazard is the best player I've faced" says Andy Robertson, "He's probably the best player in the world right now" Scotland's skipper on the hazards of facing Eden

Instead of being purposely obtuse why do you think he got his assists numbers sky rocketed in 18/19 compared to his other seasons? Because the system gave him more support & options in the final 3rd.
@ArminCFC_
I think if Chelsea was stable post 2014/15 it’s more than likely he’d challenge for bdors. 2014/15 was the only season we gave him the best conditions possible
@eyesdontlie__
Can’t find a video but I love the way Henry explains how hard it is on your body to carry the ball evade the press, ride challenges scan the pitch find the right pass etc and to keep doing that over & over again
He’s poor out of possession doesn’t offer much defensively doesn’t utilise his blistering pace in behind to cause trouble. Everything is ball to feet with him and then he does nothing
@ArminCFC_
From what I remember 16-17 was very structured in defence and Hazard was playing very direct and was often him & Costa working off scraps in the final 3rd
@Slylum9
@flameosumeet
He did a similar thing in 16-17 after January. Conte’s 3 atb formation was getting found out. Costa’s form slumped and was pushing a move to China. He closed out the title.
Eden Hazard -
“I think Sarri’s a fantastic manager. It's not simple to play the football he wants. But I think now we start to understand. Statistically it's my best season. The way he thinks in football is the way I think in football. It's easy to understand each other”

@HH_comps
@dreezabz
18/19 isn’t even his most creative season. 17/18 and 14/15 he racked up similar open play expected assists while orchestrating attacks from a deeper position
@Ore_Yusuf
He makes the wrong decision more often when he is given time to think (Which happens on the wing).
Dribbling in central areas is more about impulse and reaction time, and his is lightning fast. I believe that’s why he is excelling in central areas
@Eyesdontlie__
@Amihcyrneh
He doesn’t have that influence on his team in open play which is perfectly fine. People don’t understand how hard it is to execute a free role at the elite level hence only very few are given that responsibility

17/18 Messi was better overall but in the first half of the season you could argue Neymar was better. That’s the only season that’s debatable
@Eyesdontlie__
@sblackcfc
Contrary to the belief Hazard is naturally a final 3rd who’s just a cheatcode in build up. Mourinho/Conte’s systems meant he had more responsibility deeper
3:30 the second goal is just pure art. The creativity to turn a normal passage of play into a dangerous opportunity and finishing it with a quick snap shot with your weak foot. Special footballer
@Eyesdontlie__
@sblackcfc
Frustrating that casuals don’t seem to understand Hazard’s talent. If it isn’t Neymar no other players of his generation are comparable

Was good but R9 and Rivaldo were superior. Great vs England but he got himself sent off. Also played well vs Germany in the final
@imzispoms
@avj1708_
@whrlpooll
This is why it’s important to understand game state. Neymar dropped deep in settled possession in the middle third while Hazard would drop deep when teams camped in Chelsea last third to transition the team up the field due to Chelsea’s set ups
Mbappé GOAT discourse is insanely fried. 2000/2010s the level of individuals was much higher & still he can’t differentiate himself as the undisputed best. Forget Messi & CR, he’s nowhere near the level of guys like Suarez, Bale & Ney.
@jaymgs12
@Ahmz_04
@yakobper90
This would make sense if he didn’t believe only Messi was better than him. It was quite obviously a humility quote for his good friend
@CFC_Ali10
He was stubborn from November-March tbh and I guess he didn’t have a connection with the yerdas but he’s so underrated. He’s also evolved since leaving Chelsea
