In 2020, #BlueJays fans didn't see their team play a single home game. Last year, the team spent just 2 months in Toronto. Limited capacity. Barely missed playoffs. On paper, 2022 team is really good. Would be a shame for Jays fans to miss even more ⚾️. MLB should realize that.

I love baseball. Don't mind if it's slow. I enjoy it at the Trop or the Coliseum or Christie Pits. I'll watch Yankees-Dodgers or O's-D'Backs. It's the best But there's just no excuse for missing regular season games. MLB could and should have avoided this.

Russell Martin's five-year $82 million deal should be considered a success in my view. Martin was instrumental in helping #BlueJays reach the ALCS in 2015 and 2016. Generated 7.6 WAR over four years in Toronto, and also helped shift club's culture in 2015.

After eight seasons in the minors, Yermin Mercedes showed up and hit .364 with a .984 OPS as a 28-year-old rookie. That to me should be the story here, not whether it was ok for an MLB hitter to swing at a pitched baseball. His job is to hit, and he is definitely hitting.

Big news for #BlueJays ' front office. They've hired James Click, the former Astros GM who rejected a seemingly disingenuous one-year contract offer from Houston last fall after building a World Series winner. Click came up with Rays. He's VP, Baseball Strategy with Jays.
