Really really hope existing traders are accounted for in the planning for this. More seating for people buying food and coffee will be great but hopefully that can be installed without demolishing character and pushing out traders who have been here for years.

So disappointing. This stunning, meaningful mural in Cardiff Bay is being painted over for a @McDonaldsUK ad. A huge shame for an area that was gaining momentum as a hub for unique street art. What does it say about Cardiff as a city when culture is so readily sold for profit?

@RhodriJones17 That’s what I feared. I understand for some people it really does affect their day and the degree to which they can carry out their jobs, but I’m seeing many people who just don’t want to drive slower and are loud in their disagreement.

@timegerton3 Yes, I remember having to take a speed awareness course 5 years ago and the statistics around how many people are injured at certain speeds (a lot) vs how many minutes are shaved off journeys at those same speeds (a minuscule difference) was striking
