I shouted at them to put her down and leave her alone. She said stop. Even added no means no. They stopped and they were silent till i left. She did look at me and said thanks. I'm disappointed. These are teen volunteers at a Christian family camp. #SheDeservesBetter

At family camp waiting for our boat ride and notice 4 teen boys taunting a teen girl on the dock. One jokingly tried to push her chair in the water. She said to stop. Then all 4 tried to pick the chair up to toss her in while she screamed stop. They didn't.

@eneevs @laurchastain22 That was one of the most painful things about getting let go from @theoaksacademy . 9.5 years and my email was shut off before we hung up. No one called. Even people from my church who work there. Gave them 120% of my life. Stood up to a bully, and was gone.

@kkdumez I fear for the classical movement that is influenced by Charlotte Mason. There are so many great habits and educational insights, but it sets up its own authority structure, and it isn't patriarchy. In the Habit of Obedience, children are to "obey immediately and completely."

@LauraRbnsn Is this how your parents 'gave' you away? My little sister asked me to give her away at her wedding. Our dad died a few years ago. I'm trying to think of a way to do it that doesn't make her a possession. Any ideas?
