I've been thinking about all the people who were putting together parcels, collecting warm clothes, blankets, thinking of ways of making space in their homes to shelter those fleeing war in Ukraine. I have not seen anything close to that level of humanity now.

This time last year I was under anaesthetic half way through a life saving surgery. Being operated on by two surgical teams for 15 hours. I had no idea if I would wake up again, or if I would be here a year on. Today is one year of being completely cancer free. 💛

Final day on the chemo ward. All kinds of emotions passing through me. 20 body destroying rounds of chemo, 18 sessions of immunotherapy which I was allergic to, and needed close supervision. The nurses who have been their all the way through have been incredible.

@salihughes I had a drawer full for pupils who would have otherwise missed school because they could not afford sanitary products. There were students who were seen as causing *trouble* due to the amount of toilet breaks they took. They were having to replace the paper towels they used.

A few days before Christmas I found out who one of my rapists was due to many many women speaking out on this site about his behaviour. Does not recognise boundaries, over-bearing, entitled, finds consent something that does not apply to them.
