Hey guys! I did a free e-course for survivors of rape and sexual violence who have questions about what happens next. It's a concise and helpful. It's accessible at Like. Retweet and share with anyone who needs this

The mess that will uncovered if we had a 'pedophile hunter group' in Nigeria. A lot of you will be shocked that over 50% of the people you know will be caught. Nigeria has an epidemic on her hands. A lot of boys and girls have to deal with randy adults every day.

I stopped to chat with an elderly couple after church yesterday. I estimate they should be in their late 80's. Midway through, she spoke in tongues and nudged her husband to interpret. Everything they said addressed an issue that's given me great concern.

I told them how important this message was to me and they simply shrugged and said, they only repeated what they heard God say. Gifts are to edify and build up the body and this is one of the reasons we ought to take fellowship with the saints seriously.God loves to communicate

For years, I ran campaigns on child sexual abuse in Nigeria. Nearly every woman I met immediately understood what I meant. The culprits are often close to home. We've built a culture of silence on this subject which is why every time I see a pedophile get his due, I dance.

@elMunir5 The context matters though. I've seen people get low grades because they're couldn't afford to 'settle' the lecturer or buy some of their unnecessary handouts. In many Nigerian Uni's esp state level, First class or 2.1 is simply about how much you have.

I was flogged over silly things as a child and while they loved me, with all the wisdom of nearly 3 decades, I still know frustration was at the root of it. If anyone had dared to ask, they would have discovered an underlying problem, I was dealing with an insidious type of abuse

As a child, I was hardly ever beaten/hit by my mother. We had conversations and she didn’t shout me down. When I was wrong, I was taught to quickly apologise. So, before she even told me kneel down, I’d have said “I’m sorry, Mummy🤲🏽😭” She’d tell me to get up and hug me.

Bigots forget that they share this space with people who recognise revisionism and will call it out. Yoruba Ronu was APC's call to arms against Igbos in the SW during the 2023 elections. This is fact and little men with their oversized egos can't change it.

I get super excited when I'm heading home to meet my husband. He's my safe space. Tension eases, He is home. When he's coming back I want to make the home perfect. Anything that makes it easy for him to unwind and discuss. Our world is a bubble. I absolutely love it here.

Salute to this lady, she carried this matter on her head and continued speaking even when local media had stopped reporting on it. It takes strength to be so committed to fighting an injustice in Nigeria. Especially cz our leaders and institutions can be so willfully deaf.

Cancel culture is stupid. Bringing up what a person said 5 years ago as a measure of their present character is folly especially if nothing in the present affirms it. People need to have critical conversations again and respect the right of others to differ.

I maintain that corporal punishment is lazy and is the mark of a bully. Maybe there's a better way to do it but that prerogative will always be mine. Community training or not, anyone who dares to hit my child will have to contend with someone their size who's far crazier.

I’ve tried to ignore you on purpose, but I want it to be clear that I don’t welcome or tolerate your energy. If this is what you had to say in the DM, I can already tell where your insecurities are from. Women are not the cause of any failures, or your insecurities.

Best thing about this year?. I married the man I'm going to build a dynasty with. If I could create my perfect world, I wouldn't have been able to conjure this man. God molded him thoroughly then graciously gifted him to me. There's no one else I'd rather do life with.

@obyezeks I believe CLEEN foundation and Partners West Africa Nigeria (PWAN) do good work on these themes.

@TheJohnOlonade To be fair, I don't see it as faux outrage. Narrowing the scope of your engagement on national issues to wether or not it favours you or your family is a rather selfish thing to do. This opinion was not created in a vacuum.

I am just hearing that myself and Buratai are now both bloody civilians😏. So after all that gra gra he leaves the office to be remembered for brutally killing Nigerian youth who simply cried out to be allowed to live! What a shameful way to be remembered!

Growing up as a PK, I didn't even want to be a Christian. I had seen too much wahala from Christians. God himself orchestrated my return to Him and even then I fought so hard. This Faith we've chosen is life, please grow in it . Nominal Christianity hurts you and others.

I went through a “I can never marry a pastor” thread and saw the level of wickedness that many women have seen in the hands of supposed pastors they were in a relationship with As a pastor, it’s heartbreaking when the testimony of the people closest to you is nothing like Christ

@KhloeUmoh If they have problems understanding feminism within the Nigerian context, atleast they can understand that a woman has/should have full autonomy and equal rights.
