As #flood water recedes, the farmer will return and extract the trucks. No filing of insurance claims. He is an upstanding member of his community and was doing his best to protect his investment and local residents.

I never thought much about #garlic until we started growing it. Each bulb is trimmed by hand in the field. The clippers use great skill and efficiency to remove the roots and stems. #food doesn't magically show up at the store - many hands are required. #cawater @BowlesFarming

@Jeff_Aiello @agleader I think folks who don’t farm don’t have the grasp of the the urgency of the flooding (from reading the comments on the original post). Crops are insured not the orchard itself. How dire the situation must be down there to have to resort to doing that.

Our #irrigation district is cement lining some of our dirt canals on the #farm . While in some areas #seepage can recharge #groundwater , in our area, it impacts #perched groundwater and causes impacts. Lining will #conserve #cawater and improve #soil conditions. A big investment
