Despite Issue 1, many patients can't AFFORD to access abortion.
We're Ohio's statewide abortion fund, and we urgently need your help. Volunteer for our Fund-a-Thon and spread the word 💸📲
We've all seen images of Brittany Watts in grief & pain.
We hope the photos taken today, resilient & surrounded by community, are the ones you remember her by. Photos by Sue Ogrocki via the AP
On occasion, folks say we’re unprofessional.
Um, yeah, fuck professionalism. It’s a tool of white supremacy, & non-profit culture perpetuates it.
Babes, our only concern is funding abortion—and being really fucking good at it!
Y'ALL—ABORTION IS LEGAL IN OHIO 😭🥺!
We are so immensely grateful for the work Ohio's abortion providers & their representation have put in to fight this horrendous ban.
We’ve now raised over $466K for abortion funds nationwide.
And now… you can track how much we’ve raised!!! Our goal is to hit $500K‼️
You can find the link below 👇🏼
Long before literal Nazis showed at this weekend’s drag story hour, the City of Wadsworth, Ohio, tried to stop the event. When they couldn’t, they released a statement urging families to avoid the park, denouncing the event.
We need to fucking talk.
olivia has launched ‘fund 4 good’, a global initiative committed to building an equitable and just future for all women, girls and people seeking reproductive health freedom.

Y'all, antis literally tried to require a 60% vote to change the constitution. They put "unborn child" in the ballot summary. They tried to get our signatures thrown out.
They they tried to stop us at every fucking turn, and we STILL WON. A 56% YES VOTE FOR ABORTION!
Challenge the belief that abortions could be reduced if we had x, y, z systems.
The urge to shrink abortion rates plays into the belief that abortion is inherently amoral.
In reality, reducing abortions simply means that people aren’t getting the care they need.
Meet the Abortion Fund of Ohio—formerly Women Have Options (WHO/O). On the 30th anniversary of us funding abortion in Ohio, it's beyond time we realign our name with our values.
BREAKING: A Hamilton County Judge just blocked Ohio’s 6-week abortion ban for 2 weeks, meaning abortion is once again legal through 20 weeks in the state!
This is a huge win—AND it's disgusting she was charged at all.
Facing criminalization & pregnancy loss—all while your name & face are all over the news—is a unique kind of hell. Black women deserve better.
There was no reason viability language needed to be in the amendment.
We need y'all to have the 'no one should be denied an abortion' energy when the legislature slaps a viability ban on us.
Ohio’s 6-week ban was blocked in October, but many folks don’t know that!
So, help us spread the word: abortion is legal in Ohio through 21 weeks & 6 days!
We're an abortion fund. We fund abortions. We've been doing this work for 31 years.
We've been advocating for a free Palestine before y'all knew what abortion funds were.
every lawmaker and their brother is yelling about codifying Roe “before it’s too late.”
y’all had 49 years. it’s been “too late” for a long, long time.
Before you send that nasty tweet, consider this: No one—regardless of where they live, how they vote, or if they vote—deserves their rights stripped from them.
Full stop.
There are lots of big feelings right now, but here's another: we're so proud of you.
Feeling immense gratitude and pride and community love tonight. So, so thankful for Ohioans & our friends who stand in solidarity with us today and everyday.
Please stop using the Ohio child as a political talking point. Stop demanding more info from the family/friends/officials/orgs/etc.
No one’s abortion story is owed to you. Start advocating for abortion access on a collective basis that doesn’t objectify individuals.
Some loud folks online recently have screeched that they’ll ‘stop donating’ or ‘stop supporting’ us for criticizing complacent dems that failed us.
We’ve checked—none of them have given us a single cent.
Ohio's abortion restrictions & anti-trans bills are two sides of the same old ass coin.
If you fought for abortion rights in 2023, you need to fight for trans folks now.
Here are some things you won't find us using when talking about abortion (& why)!
It's worth noting that these are terms & images often used with good intent. AND—that doesn't negate the harm they cause.
We cannot overemphasize how much this means.
Ohio has been under a 6-week ban for nearly 3 months. 3 fucking months of nearly all abortions illegal in our home state.
So let's get this straight. Two months ago, Ohioans overwhelmingly voted to keep the government out of our personal healthcare. Now, both our legislature and governor are fully ignoring that & evading their actual responsibilities...to harm trans kids?
Ok.
Language is power—use yours to normalize abortion, making it more accessible for all!
Our number one tip? Avoid substituting phrases for abortion when you, in fact, mean abortion.
Quick reminder that we don't work with reporters that want to "both sides" our work. Giving a platform to anti-abortion, white supremacist organizations is unacceptable. Period.
IMPORTANT:
If Issue 1 wins, it takes effect after 30 days, though litigation may be needed.
If it fails, abortion is NOT immediately banned. The 6-week ban is temporarily blocked. For now, abortion is available through 21 weeks & 6 days from the start of your last period.
💰The average abortion cost at 10 weeks is $500.
💰💰The average at 20 weeks becomes $1,195.
💰💰💰40% of Americans couldn’t handle an unexpected $400 bill.
Imagine adding an out-of-state flight, hotel stay, PTO, and childcare to that tab.
Journalists are asking abo workers for personal info about the 10 y/o child.
Consider this: if an abortion seeker wants to tell their story, they will.
If you don’t get that ‘uncovering’ stories w/o consent is violence, you shouldn’t be writing about abortion at all.
Would you believe us...if we told you
@0liviajulianna

@genzforchange
raised $54K for Ohioans' abortion access in just over a week? BECAUSE WE'RE STILL REELING 😭🎉🥺
This is fucking shameful.

We’re not ‘watching our language,’ because it communicates EXACTLY what it’s meant to.
We’re not dancing around the point, because who’s that helping? Certainly not abortion seekers.
We can't overstate how bad this is. Or how critical Ohio's election will be. Or how unsustainable it is to make citizens claw back our basic rights with multi-million dollar campaigns.
Extremely bad news for the South and Midwest this week. A total abortion ban went into effect in Indiana, and now a six-week ban will go into effect in South Carolina.
These were two of the last states in their respective regions where abortion was more accessible.
We're proud of folks disrupting business as usual for Palestine. ESPECIALLY in these performative repro spaces.
Calling for anything less than a permanent ceasefire, an end to the occupation, and the full liberation for Palestine is shameful.
When we say, “The decision to have an abortion should be between you and your doctor” we mean:
1 - Your doctor should be able to provide you with accurate, medical info without state interference; &
2 - You should be able to make the decision that aligns best with your needs.
Y’all I think we touched a nerve with boring bland bootlickers…they have been all up in our mentions today and they are BIG mad. 😂😝😆
Too bad babes, we are gonna keep saying “Fuck” and we are gonna keep funding hella abortions. 😘
#FuckWhiteSupremacy
Dr. George Tiller was murdered specifically because he provided abortions at & after 24 weeks.
On the 14th anniversary of his death tomorrow, don’t let folks revere him while condemning clinics providing that care today.
To reiterate: a flock of fascists assembled, threatened, and both verbally and physically assault people at the park Saturday.
The City has not released a statement.
(TW // violence and hate speech)
Every act of violence from state legislatures against trans folks must be met with immediate backlash. Solidarity with our trans siblings is non-negotiable, and there can never be justice in cis silence.
It’s actually hilarious that the politicians who FAILED TO PROTECT THE RIGHT TO LEGAL ABORTION ACCESS are now asking you to fund their next campaign to…once again fail to protect the right to legal abortion.
fund abortion. fund housing. fund teachers. fund long-term care. fund public health. fund public transit. fund wrap-around services.
literally fund anything and everything except the fucking cops.
Tw*tter locked our account this morning, and it appears our follower counts/profile may still be wonky for a couple days.
But hey, we’re here, and we’re ready for whatever comes next.
WE'RE ACTUALLY NOT EVEN ASKING FOR THAT MUCH, YOU KNOW? JUST, LIKE, BASIC RIGHTS AND STUFF. WE DON'T EVEN NEED FANCY THINGS, JUST ABORTION ACCESS & SAFE SCHOOLS & LIVING WAGES & NOT GETTING MURDERED BY THE GOVERNMENT
So-called safe states stockpiling 5 years worth of the wrong medication
with a ~2 year shelf life… then acting like it’s revolutionary is the perfect analogy of abortion saviorism.
I am committed to ensuring reproductive health care — including medication abortion — remains accessible in New York State. We won't let extremists take away this fundamental right.
it feels so silly to have to say this, but SAY ABORTION.
the language we use to talk about abortion too often stigmatizes it—whether you intend to or not.
