Debate time. Is the small greyish car with a sunroof, which comes from the right and turns right but doesn't quite exit, in contravention? Barnet Council say yes as they have sent a PCN. I don't think so. Your view?

@Hrawli I half expect this to end up with an adjudicator. What I have since noticed is the box to the right, as it is separate, extends beyond the junction so to that extent isn't enforceable.

I like playing a game of bluff with the council. Representation was of triviality (de minimis - a Court doesn't trouble itself) Council reject saying it was a contravention, full stop. I start a free* Tribunal Appeal. The council cancel. It's all about the money. (*Council pays)

Full marks to a @BarnetCouncil parking manager to whom I gave some highly private and confidential information about a disabled person being abused by their carer & I asked for a discretionary PCN cancellation which was granted post haste. Very fair & human.

Heaps of praise for a Barnet parking manager. I had a person who couldn't move their car as sectioned for a month under the Mental Heath Act. I got further PCNs stopped until the car could be moved & now all cancelled on production of a hospital letter.

Well done @IslingtonBC I queried 1000+ PCNs which I thought were issued illegally late (I knew one was definitely unlawful so I asked an FOI @CFoI ) & you agree that 419 were unlawful and will refund the affected motorists. Refreshing honesty in parking, a bit rare. Take a bow.

I help lovely people. The motorist couldn't take the fight and paid despite me giving them a cast iron defence. Still unhappy they challenged the council, and this is rare, were refunded £65 and they gave half of it to @NLondonHospice

So I take TfL to the tribunal for their 17:59&xx seconds £160 PCN and TfL claim not to know how many seconds left until 18:00 when zone ends. Driver says pips had sounded on the radio. TfL decide not to contest the Appeal. Bullies and cowards.

The cycling diet. In early March I weighed 14 stone 12lbs. By 4 July when I drove to Land's End I was 14st 4lbs. Now I am 13st 11lbs. In addition, my blood pressure has changed from high to normal. You don't have to make an epic journey, just cycle regularly to do the same.

Bumped into an estate agent I know in High Barnet. Discussed bicycles. He has gone away to think about a pooled electric bike for house visits from the office, have it liveried and you also get eco advertising (and harder to sell if nicked).

I fought a Barnet PCN at the tribunal at 2pm, all over at 2.01. This is because I had done my research and filed a skeleton argument which the adjudicator read before he phoned me (they try to pre-read my cases as they know they will be robust). Time for tea.

I have just spent 14 days in France. Visited Reims, Beaune, Avignon, Correze, Vienne & Saumur. I saw not a single traffic warden nor parking problems. England could learn from this but councils are addicted to the revenue stream.

I've been asked to help with words to challenge a PCN for being adjacent to a dropped kerb. I have declined to assist, this is a clear contravention, the dimpled paving is there to assist the blind to cross the road & that towbar is an extra hazard.

I have helped a lovely lady. Haringey towed her & she didn't use/miss her car so the pound fees added up & she paid £700 to recover her £500 car. I wrote the representations & the council have just returned all £700. She has donated £150 @NLondonHospice

Making errors in your own favour @BarnetCouncil is an unattractive look and you are law breakers. NSL don't appear to properly train their traffic wardens and the council don't oversee or instruct the NSL back office well enough? A good job there are some lay experts about.

I do love a good council blunder. I started a tribunal appeal for a lady (no loading kerb marks very worn, double yellows very clear, she has a blue badge) on 5 December and despite that Haringey Council issued a charge certificate on 31 December. Oh dear, I win.

Tale of the tape at the tribunal. 6 motorists, 12 PCNs, 5 adjudicators, 11 cancelled, 1 reserved decision. Saved motorists about £1400 and getting a £200 removal fee back.

Well done @haringeycouncil for cancelling 28 PCNs for a new driver, an LTN resident, who thought that living 50m from the signs and having a parking permit (& blue badge passenger) covered her. She now has the LTN permit and no longer a frightening potential liability of £3,640

I have just told a company that I will no longer fight their PCNs as twice their knees have buckled and they have paid at the first refusal from the council. Councils will tell you anything to get you to pay. Don't trust what they say, trust me, a man with no financial interest.

There is a petiton to keep the A1000 cycle lane following one in Jan 21 to remove it. You can sign the petition to retain it. I have signed, it needs improving not removing.

It was epic & awesome. I moved my presumed limits. I went 14% further than ever before in one ride with double the ascent and went 7% faster for 8 hours. I'm tougher than I realised.
