People across the UK who have had a stroke or TIA are not calling 999 due to the #Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Strokes and mini-strokes are medical emergencies. The quicker you receive stroke treatment, the better.

We thank Baroness Wheeler for raising an important point in the #HouseOfLords today. Stroke nurses are vital for the care and treatment of stroke survivors and patients. But there is a shortage, and that shortage needs to be addressed.

We are deeply saddened to hear that Kirk Douglas has died. Despite having a debilitating stroke in 1996, Douglas continued to be active & supported our #LifeAfterStroke campaign. We are grateful for everything he did to raise awareness. Are thoughts are with his family.

1 in 4 stroke survivors, like Elizabeth, find it difficult to wrap presents at Christmas. Give it a go yourself and find out how hard it can be. Make sure you film & share it with us & don’t forget #OneHandedGiftWrap . Nominate someone you know to take on the challenge.
