"When people come up to me after a show, it’s rarely to say ‘You guys are great!’ But instead it’s ‘Thank you. Thank you for keeping the music alive.’ It’s like I’m holding a crystal ball containing everyone’s emotions and attachments to the band & I just don’t want to drop it.”
I met Bourdain once. Went to a book signing in Mtl to get book signed for a friend who adored him & couldn't make it. When I told him what I was doing, he signed the book "where the fuck were you?" He then took my friend's number and called him to chat. RIP.
Years ago when flying into Heathrow the border guard asked what I did for a living. When I said I was a radio host, he asked if I listened to

I really enjoyed Spare. Harry is a great advocate for mental health. I hope he finds peace. And nobody's better than

came out 22 years ago today. I lined up at Sam the Record Man in downtown Montreal at midnight to buy it, and still listen to it all the time.
Opening up more tickets to 'fans' means opening up more tickets to fans with tens of thousands of dollars to spare.
Want to go to the game tonight? Or buy a new Civic? The choice is yours.

We saw Carey Price comfort the kid who lost a parent & the grandma who survived the residential school system. He seems to have empathy. Not sure who's at fault for him being here 15+ years & not grasping how the Polytechnique massacre impacted Montreal's collective psyche.
I’d recommend this to anyone who works in radio, owns a radio, hates radio, or knows how to read. An extremely relevant book for anybody trying to deal with a highly polarized world.

@JustinTrudeau
, McGill B.A. class of 1994, should really speak up about the future of English universities in his hometown of Montreal. Before it's too late.
30 years ago tonight my dad surprised me and took me to game 5 of the 1993 Stanley Cup finals. We saw the
@CanadiensMTL
beat Wayne Gretzky and the
@LAKings
and win the Cup. I’ll never forget that night-I'm going to call my dad now and reminisce.
Thank you
@CBCTheNational
for having me on to discuss intimate partner violence and my lived experience. I’ll be on

I am Jewish and support the ceasefire. Many of us believe that supporting the Israeli government's policies will only increase antisemitism here in Canada. If you would like to hear more from me and understand my concerns, I'm available.
(1/2) Many people in the Jewish community are disheartened and hurt by 🇨🇦’s decision to support today’s UN resolution. I have heard from so many of you and understand your concerns. Please know that my office and I are committed to standing with you to combat antisemitism

. Corner of Mont-Royal and Fabre, 10pm tonight. From my friend who took the picture - "Bars are packed. Didn't see any masks. Not obvious that there was any distancing."
If you're wondering why this will never end a woman in my apartment building holding a Kleenex over her nose just explained to me that she can't wear a mask because she isn't feeling well and can't breathe with it on.
So many people losing their minds because the mayor of my city tweeted a thanksgiving message in french and (gasp!) english. The Montreal some people want is so far away from the Montreal that I experience on a daily basis.
I took this photo at the last

PODCAST: My conversation w/ Civil Rights activist Rev. Darryl Gray, who marched w/ MLK & still marches today.
I just spent well over an hour with Felipe Alou and my heart is so full. I'll hold today with me for a very long time. Grateful to

While a small town mayor on our island cheerleads for Netenyahu and the IDF, the vast majority of Jewish people I know think Israel has gone too far, killed too many innocent people, want Bibi gone, and think that the Palestinians deserve equal rights & their own state.

10,031 dead in Quebec from Covid. Our national shame. Next time

33 years ago tonight, 14 women went to bed thinking about their finals, future in STEM and the upcoming holiday season. They didn’t know that these dreams threatened a man’s sense of self worth and that they wouldn’t survive to see their goals and aspirations become a reality.
Asked where Premier Ford is, deputy Premier Elliott says: “The Premier has been very busy working to try and find vaccines for Ontario” “He’s devoting his time to help us get out of the pandemic” “He’s been working on the vaccination efforts basically full-time”
