I can’t say that being the PD of a large IM program is easy. I have a great team & the resources I need, but many nights are long, and the lows can be LOW Yet I can’t imagine a more fulfilling role in medicine. The blessings & relationships will carry me forever #InMyFeelings

@NAChristakis IMHO, seems @DrIbram states that adoption does not preclude racism: was even practiced in colonization. If I read @DrIbram correctly, anti-racism is never bestowed. He does not conclude it IS racism, but rather that the post draws a premature conclusion

Personal news-Volunteered to help coach grade 4 soccer (I only recently started watching, and never played). 1st practice and head coach was out. More nervous than giving grand rounds for 250 docs 😳 Hearing “hey coach” was surreal, and proud I took on a new challenge though ⚽️

Medicine PD here 👋🏻 The second we knew the #CovidVaccine was en route, I was included on email/texts with CMO’s/leaders re: scheduling trainees, incl. off-service rotators 🙏🏻 Can’t comment on what happened elsewhere, but grateful that our DIO and PDs are always included

Just in from our first all out program event since Feb 2019. I’ve been impressed with this gen of residents. They’re a quick study, appreciate the finer things from my generation, socially conscious, understand NFTs and bitcoin and I learned tonight, they also know how to party👊🏻
