Attending these sorts of things is ok, but in uniform is against DoD guidance and the UCMJ. If they’re active duty or reservist marines they’re risking reprimand or court martial. The guidance is crystal clear.
@Billbrowder
SpaceX geofences Starlink so that it doesn’t work in Russian controlled areas. The Ukrainians pushed forward too fast and SpaceX didn’t have time to update the geofencing because it wasn’t public that Ukraine controlled the area. Please don’t spread misinformation

There was a study that showed IVM as effective vs Covid. That study was what did it. The study was retracted for falsification of all of the data, but that didn’t stop the crazies

Huh? America has given an enormous amount of supplies and weaponry. The only place that comes close to American support of Ukraine is Poland. We literally created a special drone explicitly for this war (Phoenix Ghost) and started mass producing them.

This is a civil case against breaking NY state statutes. SCOTUS likely has no jurisdiction over NY state law unless the supremacy clause is relevant.

Not escaping the SQL is sloppy, but the router protects you from injection of non-ints. This is code smell though. In bigger apps someone could later come and refactor it, and mess up the route or change it, introducing a bug.
the sqlite module makes this easy to do more safely.
@jessfraz
We upped the fan speed to allow clocking up cpus in a datacenter at a previous job. Our datacenter team was freaking out because all of the sudden we were getting a dozen+ failed drives per day. It was causing the racks to vibrate and was utterly thrashing the spinning rust.
@ThrustWR
Reminds me of the incident where UAF used a MICLIC mine clearing charge on a building housing a platoon of (alleged) Spetsnaz. Definitely not the intended use of that ordinance.
@ChefReactions
A cousin once brought broccoli casserole and used cheese whiz for the cheese. She swore it was her grandma’s recipe and everyone just noped out of there
@secretsqrl123
But they’ve deployed the Rosvgardia (aka national guard / praetorian guard) to Ukraine. Look at the utter decimation of the SOBR Spetsnaz units in the battle of Irpin (3 survived out of 80) and in Vuhledar.
@Snakeeater36
You’re probably too young to remember, but the Nick Berg incident was one of my first combat missions. We got there about 45 minutes too late.
It’s gonna be really bad. There will no winners, but a lot of lives lost.
@WarMonitors
Generally happens the most when you have inexperienced troops with fully automatic weapons. On a US .50 BMG, you’re taught 6-9 round bursts generally. More accurate firing results in less bullets used as well.

They’re one of only 9 nato members who spend >=2% GDP on defense. Their gdp has grown for the past 28 years in a row. They’ll fund it by cutting fluff. Russia is a real threat and they’re not going to allow another Kaytn massacre.

Yes. The law is called the Uniformed Code of Military Justice. It only applies to US Armed Forces. This is explicitly “illegal” under the UCMJ.

@TrentTelenko
This post is totally bogus. Not having a Kevlar (helmet) allegedly for a few years after deployment? You’d get chewed up and spit out by command. There is absolutely no way this is true.

Kevin Bowers sped up ED25519 and SHA256/SHA512 code that can be used by all of crypto and folks still dunk on Solana as a project and network. There’s some crazies out there:

Dereliction of Duty is a military thing. Congress doesn’t fall under the DoD and is not beholden to Uniformed Code of Military Justice, so while they are derelict, it isn’t illegal for them to be. Source: I’m an Army Vet

Kneeling isn’t disrespectful of our troops, but an expression of ones constitutional right to free speech, which we fight for. Saying it should be outlawed is fascism. It isn’t rocket science to realize which side prez 45 is batting for. Source: I’m a veteran.

Most of the babies that needed these were medically issued a Pulseoximeter. The difference between the Owlette and medically issued pulseox was how poorly the pulseox fits on an infant and how it keeps the parents up all night by going off ever single time the baby barely moves.

And those crimes almost hit their statute of limitations I believe, so they likely have more for superseding indictments should that be necessary.

My great uncle was a bombadier in WWII and his operational flight log shows missions all over both Germany and Normandy. He helped soften up hard points prior to the invasion by allied forces. I walked those beaches today.

Sometimes men are very aggressive to women for their number and don’t take no for an answer. Because overtly saying no works for you doesn’t mean it works for everyone. This happened to my sister recently.

Ummm what? Operation Gothic Serpent was as real as Operation Iraqi Freedom. There is a local medevac pilot here who’s a former 160th “night stalker” pilot who lost friends that day. I e seen his DD214. It’s an insult to those lost (I say this as an army veteran) to act like this.

Definitely not an M2. I was the commander’s M2 gunner in OIF II, and that’s not what I fired. Look at the trigger… an M2 had a butterfly trigger on the rear not a normal rifle trigger. I think it’s some Russian kit.

What about a python shop that ALSO uses go? Neither solve every problem perfectly. Let’s be pragmatic about our tech. Languages and cli tools are just that, tools we as engineers use to build, destroy, and rebuild. Just because go is right doesn’t always make python wrong.
