Woken up more than a bit chesty so tried to book a Covid Test. Nearest one is on the Isle of Wight. Lovely day for a 83 mile drive and a trip across the Solent. My nearest testing centre is half a mile away at Twickenham Stadium. One more for @munirawilson to log I think.

We lost our amazing mum yesterday. She passed peacefully and quickly in her favourite chair with a cold drink. I can’t think of a better way to go. Thank you for all you did for us and so many others. We’ll keep trying to make you as proud of us as we were of you.

Found out today that after months of tests, wrong diagnoses & indeterminable waiting that my Niece does NOT have Retinitis Pigmentosa. Believe me, Woohoos were woohoo’d, jigs were jigged. Best news I’ve had all year. Tempted to jump on a train home & back just to hug my brother.

My better half is battling Crohn’s Disease so commuting on public transport is a big problem but her employer @DixonsCarphone have been ace and have sorted her an on-site priority parking space. Thank you guys. Seriously, it’s a small thing but means a huge amount to her and me.

80 years ago today my Mum’s Dad was killed during the Battle of Mareth Line in Tunisia. He was just 24. My Mum was just 18 months old. Today I had the honour to bring his little girl over to rest with him. Sleep well both.

In the end he got in touch with my cousin and arranged for me to meet his dad in the supporters club. I still thought they were winding me up. Turns out, not only had Nev signed the card, he took the time to write me a letter and gave me a pair of his gloves.
