So
@NevilleSouthall
has been deservedly trending recently. I'd like to share a short story on how we went out of his way brilliantly to treat a young boy (me) who adored him.
Keir Starmer: "Every other year they switch out a failed Prime Minister. It's like a once secure Premier League side burning through managers as they slide inevitably towards relegation."
Everton Fans donating £400k of Season ticket refunds to Charity. 👏🏻
Matched again by the owner and the Chairman. 👏🏻
Today, as always, i am inordinately proud to be an Evertonian.

I’ve been loving this. TV is in a different postcode. Further away than a toilet in a Weatherspoons. Living room so big it has its own MP.
Goodison Tour done. Had a little wobble after the final bit. Probably my final goodbye. But did get the better half to take this. Bye you beautiful old girl.
Broken cheekbone for DCL. That he played on with for 20 minutes. If you booed him then you're a grade A shithouse. I get you're frustrated we all are but then imagine how he feels.
TM Lewin has become the latest retailer to collapse into administration at the cost of 600 jobs.
All of its 66 stores will disappear from the high street, reports

61 days since Everton’s thumping by Bournemouth and the World Cup break. We knew exactly what we needed in terms of players then and we still haven’t acted. Not a single signing. Negligent and incompetent.
@VictoriaCoren
Reminds me of the quote from The West Wing.
Sweden has a 100% literacy rate,
100%! How do they do that?
Well, maybe they don't and they also can't count.
#GDPR
is trending. It’s from a load of anti Vaxers moaning about being sent a text message that they didn’t opt in to.
So that’s yet another subject for them to pontificate about whilst knowing precisely fuck all about it.
He was a top flight footballer that went out out of his way for an 11 year old lad who worshipped him and he didn't want to disappoint him.
He is, and always will be, an utter legend to me.
Double Jeopardy for two of those years. Appeals still going on first punishment. Still no fixed tariffs, detail or clarity and no date set for final completion of the process. Utter shambles. Utterly inept.
@premierleague
🚨 Everton + Nottingham Forest expecting to be informed on Monday that they’ve been found in breach of PL profitability & sustainability rules for 3yr cycle to June 2023. Both have prepared mitigation & will launch robust defences

Dear
@FA
That was clearly a serious and violent action from Ashley Williams. Can you please consider banning him for the rest of the season?! Kind Regards. Every Evertonian.
I like Frank. I wanted him to work. It hasn’t. I wanted him to get backing from our inept board. He hasn’t. It’s time. It’s done. No idea what the solution is. I’m not sure I care anymore.
Noel Conway, suffering from an appalling disease, loses his appeal to the Supreme Court to be allowed to end his life as he chooses. He calls this decision ‘barbaric & downright cruel’. I think that’s an understatement.
I hope
@richarlison97
knows how much he’s loved by so many. Immensely courageous to admit you have struggled or are struggling. It’s why we all need to talk more. To make it normal. Would help so many.
Christ almighty. If you ever question why players take a knee. Why players wear rainbow laces. Why Kick it out needs ongoing work. Why people like
@RainbowToffees
need to do the things they do. This is why. Still a huge amount of work to do to change our sport and our society.
Everton Leeds game tonight.
Normally a game we’d lose but the type of game we’ve been winning this season. Which means we’ll lose. But if I think we’ll lose then we normally win. So I think we’ll win. So we’ll lose.
Good set of results for Everton today. 👍Brentford getting pulled in. 👍
Forest still below us. 👍
3 points clear of Luton. 👍
And an extra game in hand on all 3. 👍
And no Everton game to ruin it 👍
And both goals conceded were scored by unmarked players 8 yards out from goal. Zero he could have done. He is the undisputed England no 1. Deservedly so. Others aren’t even close right now. And I used to be very very critical of him. He’s grown immeasurably over the past 4 years.
Jordan Pickford hasn't saved a single shot for England in Euro 2024 qualifying, despite playing every minute.
He's only faced 2 shots on target and conceded from them both.
His last save came when England were still 1-1 in the World Cup quarter-final vs France.
Supporting Everton used to bring me such joy. Even when we were rubbish.
Now it’s just ever increasing embarrassment and despondency.
It’s a club without Leadership, direction and standards. Whoever the new owners are need to clean house and begin anew.
Coady absolutely nailing it in the tunnel interview. ‘We have to change. This has to be the end of this. This is a giant of a club. It’s not good enough’
Woken up more than a bit chesty so tried to book a Covid Test.
Nearest one is on the Isle of Wight.
Lovely day for a 83 mile drive and a trip across the Solent.
My nearest testing centre is half a mile away at Twickenham Stadium.
One more for
@munirawilson
to log I think.
Wedding done and dusted. Incredible day filled with the people we love most.
And the bride coming down the aisle to Z cars. 👍
Now it’s time for Mrs Jones’ 40th Birthday Drinks. Hic.
So Emilia Clarke and Emma Thompson are filming right outside the T.M.Lewin offices.
*Smoothes eyebrows, pops in contacts, and reminds better half about the legally binding status of the ‘allowed’ list*
@RichLJones
Hi Richard, this may be due to contingency guards not having knowledge of certain types of trains. We need to use the trains that they are trained on, which may be shorter than usual ^RN
12 years ago tomorrow I went for a coffee date with the Manager of the Works in Hemel Hempstead. We talked retail, cats, and being Northern down south. Three houses, three cats, chronic illnesses, and many other dramas later, I’m still relatively fond of her.
My dad had his Covid jab this morning. 👍
Know it’s a small bit in the grand scheme of things but it’s just one less little bit to worry about.
Mum up next. 79 and Parkinson’s should get her up the list. 👍
We lost our amazing mum yesterday. She passed peacefully and quickly in her favourite chair with a cold drink. I can’t think of a better way to go. Thank you for all you did for us and so many others. We’ll keep trying to make you as proud of us as we were of you.
Big fan of this letter. I can see this not only getting our punishment massively reduced/overturned, but also triggering the implementation fully independent can’t regulator AND old Mr Masters being given the Spanish Archer.
We have written to the Premier League CEO, Richard Masters, asking him to clarify points raised in our oral evidence session with him and the EFL earlier this month.

Reminds me of the old conversation of ‘things posh people do that if you were working class would probably get you arrested’
I think my favourite one was burying family members in the garden.
Whoop. Better half is being released from medical chokey today. Albeit with a big bag of drugs and some ongoing treatment but it means she’s coming home. 👏🏻
Immensely lucky and thankful to be able to start my new job tomorrow. Will be nice to get back to some degree of normality and actually feel useful again after 2 months of furlough.
Two years ago today my infinitely better half came down the aisle to Imperial Death March / Z Cars. No sirens allowed sadly.
I’m hoping by the third anniversary we can actually go out and do something nice to celebrate it.

Found out today that after months of tests, wrong diagnoses & indeterminable waiting that my Niece does NOT have Retinitis Pigmentosa. Believe me, Woohoos were woohoo’d, jigs were jigged.
Best news I’ve had all year. Tempted to jump on a train home & back just to hug my brother.
Absolutely apoplectic this morning with
@almurray
and
@James1940
disparaging efforts on the latest

to bring 10 tonnes of Dates into the UK. Proper spluttering over the cornflakes moment. They were vital to national morale in 3 simple words. Sticky Toffee Pudding.
Any Blues heading into Euston. Jump off at Watford Junction, then get on to the Willesden Junction train. Change there to West Brompton / Imperial Wharf. It’s probably quicker than going via Euston anyway. 👍
Me and the better half have a thing about picking up Art Deco style prints of where we’ve lived or places that are important to us. It’s a kind of mini biography wall for us. Just came home to the best one yet from
@grandoldteam
#ifyouknowyourhistory
God this feels good.
Not just winning. The organisation. The effort. The fight. The game management. The snarkiness. The noise. Dyche actually coaching from the sidelines.
Even if we bring half that to half our remaining games we’ll be fine.

Understand VAR did not intervene when Robinson handled the ball inside his own area as his arm was deemed to be by his side.
Everton yet to have a penalty in the Premier League this season.

After a lifetime of looking after 5 kids, dozen of foster kids, being Lodge Alderman & caring for my late Mum during her 22 year scrap against Parkinson’s my dad has an induction today to be a Visitor for Age Concern. He’s 82. He’s my hero. If I’m half the man he is I’ll be happy
@bushontheradio
Beaconsfield Bush. Always Beaconsfield. Look at everything it has. Leon, Starbucks, McDonalds, JD Wetherspoon, Chopstix, KFC, Greggs, Nando's, West Cornwall Pasty Co, El Mexicana, Don Churro andTapori Indian Street Food. Practically a destination on its own.
My better half is battling Crohn’s Disease so commuting on public transport is a big problem but her employer
@DixonsCarphone
have been ace and have sorted her an on-site priority parking space. Thank you guys. Seriously, it’s a small thing but means a huge amount to her and me.
80 years ago today my Mum’s Dad was killed during the Battle of Mareth Line in Tunisia. He was just 24. My Mum was just 18 months old. Today I had the honour to bring his little girl over to rest with him. Sleep well both.
Tomorrow I will mostly be attending
#dotdigitalsummit
. For those interested I’ll be on a panel post lunch (and hopefully not waffling too much) about if Online is a Friend or Foe to the physical high street. Not nervous at all. 😬
In the end he got in touch with my cousin and arranged for me to meet his dad in the supporters club. I still thought they were winding me up. Turns out, not only had Nev signed the card, he took the time to write me a letter and gave me a pair of his gloves.
