If you wake up this morning believing it's vital for the federal govt to make uninsured depositors whole, but forgiving student loans is "unfair to those who played by the rules" it's time to take a long, hard look at yourself. #SVBCollapse

When I visited Paris I noticed I never saw anyone rushing into a Metro station. Simple enough: in the city where we were the trains run every 5 minutes. In the D.C. version (where I live) 12-20 min intervals are common. Miss the train and you're hosed.

Think public transit “doesn’t work” as an alternative to cars where you live? If that’s true, it wasn’t unavoidable — it’s because of the choices your city made. Land-use, funding, infrastructure & operational decisions. If you get fundamentals like frequency wrong, it fails.
