Sen. Mitch McConnell correctly noted today that there's "very little election fraud" in the United States, a fact that perhaps would've been useful to publicly and forcefully articulate, say, between Nov. 4, 2020 and Jan. 6, 2021.
"The FBI digital team will be arresting all who illegally entered the DC [Capitol]."
TrumpIsYourPresident1776: "Lmao yaaaaaaaaaa sure thing buddy!”
The FBI arrested Debra Maimone in New Castle, PA, today.
So strange how early in the process there was a two-thirds vote to find Trump guilty and then they just kept “finding” all these other senators to vote not guilty.
One of the best humans I know had some thoughts on watching U.S. Capitol Police Officer Eugene Goodman face down that mob of Trump-loving insurrectionists that was steps away from the floor of the Senate. Sharing here, with his permission.
NEW: federal prosecutor in Steve Bannon trial opening: “It wasn’t optional. It wasn’t a request, and it wasn’t an invitation. It was mandatory... The defendant decided he was above the law… and that’s why we’re here today.”
The fate of Steve Bannon, who once said that people should wear it as a “badge of honor” when someone calls them a racist, will be in the hands of a majority non-white jury.
"Six Jones Day lawyers said that given the small number of late-arriving ballots involved in the litigation, and the fact that they already had been segregated, the main goal of the litigation seemed to be to erode public confidence in the election...”

Here are the insurrectionists talking about the plan, including detailed schematics of the Capitol building.

A marble bust was sold for $34.99 at a Goodwill store in Austin, Texas, in 2018. Turns out, it was an actual Roman bust from the late 1st century BC or early 1st century AD.
How it got to Texas remains a mystery.
If anyone received an award for cinematography in 2021 they should give it back, because the proper recipient is whoever was remotely operating this Senate floor camera feed on Jan. 6.
From a newly released court exhibit, in the Bruna Cua case:
Judge Amy Berman Jackson at a Jan. 6 sentencing today: "People need to understand that they can't do this… They can't try to force their will on the American people once the American people have already spoken at the ballot box. That's the opposite of democracy, it's tyranny.”
Remember that Jan. 6 rioter turned into the FBI by his ex-girlfriend after he texted her that she was a "moron" because she didn't believe in Donald Trump's lies about the 2020 election?
He was just sentenced to nine months in federal prison.
Let’s dispense with this notion that the Jan. 6 committee doesn’t know what they’re doing with that Josh Hawley video, the Jan. 6 committee knows exactly what they’re doing with that Josh Hawley video.
“We broke into the Capitol…we got inside, we did our part. We were looking for Nancy to shoot her in the friggin’ brain but we didn’t find her.” — Dawn Bancroft, arrested in Pennsylvania today, along with Diana Santos-Smith.

Still not convinced this isn’t a SNL character. (A judge previously declared this Trump supporter /freelance contract IT worker’s testimony “simply not credible.”)

Donald Trump recently posted a screenshot featuring Barack Obama’s DC address.
A Jan. 6 participant who has been living in a van by the DC jail and has creeped out other J6 supporters saw it.
“Got them surrounded!” he reposted.
Arrested near the home.

“Did anyone call you back?”
“Yeah, after it all happened.”
