On this day in 1986, I appeared with Bad News at the Hammersmith Odeon, with the a fictional English heavy metal band supporting heavyweights Iron Maiden. During my bit, my amp mysteriously cut in and out but it just added to the comedy of the send up!

Feeling very sad about Jeff Beck. He was great company. A while after he came on our Bad News gig at the Marquee in December 1988, Bad News did an all night session with him in his studio somewhere in the country. I wonder if the recording of that still exists.
