BREAKING: Reuters reporting that Twitter has suspended a number of accounts that claimed to be owned by black supporters of Trump. Turns out they were fake - using pictures from news stories and tweeting identical messages such as 'YES I'M BLACK AND I'M VOTING FOR TRUMP!!!'

The government is arguing that black is white. That Cummings didn’t break the rules - when he provably did. Journalists - including @maitlis have a duty to call that out. To say ‘well some say that black is white and others disagree’ is false balance and editorially wrong

It’s my Grandma’s funeral tomorrow. She was 96 and died of natural causes last month. Sadly most of our family can’t attend because of the lockdown.  Women like her don’t get obituaries so I thought I’d write something based on an interview I did with her before she died

BREAKING: The US Federal Trade Commission and 46 states are suing Facebook - saying it's become a monopoly. They are calling for the acquisition of Instagram and WhatsApp to be "unwound" i.e. breaking up Facebook. Pretty extraordinary stuff.

The more I think about this tweet, the more I wonder how this will impact his contact tracing system when it goes live on 1 June. The system only works if the public accepts that - if a contact tracer gets in touch with you and advises it - you isolate. Even with no symptoms.

As of 9am 21 April, 535,342 tests have concluded, with 18,206 tests on 20 April. 397,670 people have been tested of which 129,044 tested positive. As of 5pm on 20 April, of those hospitalised in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus, 17,337 have sadly died.

Whilst reporting on Haiti we came across an awful story I wanted to share. During the earthquake a church collapsed during a mass christening - on top of parishioners and children. It’s a story that has had little coverage, and people need help.

Naturally rebellious, when war broke out at 15 she volunteered for the Air Raid Precautions as an auxiliary nurse. At 16 she learnt how to drive the ambulances. Based in Brentwood she would drive into East London after German raids during the Blitz.

Sheilagh Clayton was born in Essex in 1923 to an Irish car mechanic and an English nanny.  As a child she said she was arrogant and romantic. She seemed to spend much of her youth mimicking her dad's Irish accent and chasing boys - especially one boy called Jack Lillistone

One day she decided to scrawl ‘I love Jack Lillistone’ on the front of her house. Sadly it was unrequited, so she asked her dad to paint over it. He did paint, but carefully left the daubings for all to see. Maybe she shouldn’t have taken the piss out of his Irish accent
