Filling out a fellowship application, and I've heard writers with dramatic backstories are preferred. I'm nervous because I don't know if I qualify. I'm just a regular guy who grew up on a farm, raised by some nice folks who adopted me after my alien parents dropped me on Earth

Today I got the worst script review ever. Just full of insults and spite. It hurt, but I reminded myself some people live to put others down. To all writers, don't let negativity like this get to you. And to that reviewer who was so hateful, I'd just like to say, screw you Dad

Just got the worst feedback ever on my new script. "He's not likeable enough." He doesn't have to be likeable, just empathetic. "I didn't find it funny." Uh, comedy's subjective, pal. "It was inconvenient having to translate it because it was written in Klingon." Um, LAZY, much?

Oscar voting is over, and the ballots have been tallied. Winners won't be announced until Sunday, but I've already seen one of the results. The award for Best Actor goes to the screenwriter who likes all of a manager's jokes on Twitter in hopes they will get their script read
