It was 55 years ago today… On 30 January 1969 The Beatles clambered on to the rooftop of 3 Savile Row for what turned out to be their final public performance. A couple of years ago @StuartMaconie talked about this historic day

The missing “I don’t wanna lose you” section from John’s demo does survive in the new version of Now and Then. Listen to the second bar of the bridge, Paul plays the melody on the piano. And where are the Eleanor Rigby “ahhhs”? Go to the “Always to…” in “Always to return to me”
