I believe in One God, the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth and of all things visible and invisible. And in One Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the only-begotten, begotten of the Father before all ages.
Let me break down Andrew Tate’s religious beliefs: When he moved to Romania, he supposedly became an Orthodox Catechumen, when he moved to Dubai, he converted to Islam, and he also has an Israeli passport, which is impossible to get if you’re not Jewish.
This is the supposed living saint that so many Orthodox on this site jump to praise. For a “priest,” this man seems awfully pre-occupied with rants about Jews and Communists and whatnot instead of, I don’t know, preaching the Orthodox faith.
There’s a guy at church who is a professor at a local college, he told me that one time he had a student from Laos who out of curiosity went to a Pentecostal church that practiced speaking in tongues, but they weren’t speaking in tongues, they were blaspheming in perfect Laotian.
It’s no coincidence that God caused Roe to be overturned on the feast day of Panagia Platytera, which depicts our Panagia while pregnant. It occurs on the second Friday after Pentecost, meaning that Traditional and New Calendar jurisdictions celebrate this together.
Today marks the beginning of the 7,532nd year since the creation of the Cosmos. Today also marks the beginning of the 114th Indiction since St. Constantine’s triumph over Maxentius, this happens once every 15 years.
“Glory to Jesus Christ! What brings you to our lovely ROCOR parish today?”
“Well, we work desk jobs and were watching Jay Dyer during the Scamdemic so we wanted to see what this was all about. Also, hail Putin 😉”
“Splendid! Let’s start by going over each article of the Creed.”
I unironically believe this. St. Nikodemos said that whenever a wise man strokes his beard he is reminded of the fact that he is a man and not a woman. Nowadays people can’t remember whether they are men or women. I really think there is a connection.
Real conversation between my yiayia and her friend:
Friend: “Are you gonna get buried or cremated?”
Yiayia: “Buried, we can’t get cremated it’s against our religion.”
Friend: “Really? Catholics used to be against it but we changed.”
Yiayia: “Oh you people change everything.”
Yet, when he’s in the land that Christ sanctified with his beautiful feet and proclaimed the Gospel, commanding the Apostles to baptize all nations, he joins with those who said “give us Barabbas” and “Crucify him.”
A fresco from the 16th century depicting a demon whispering thoughts into the mind of a married couple telling them to sleep in and not go to church on Sunday.
Compare this to the saintly Fr. Joachim of St. Anne’s Skete. When he came to America, he was distressed by the heterodox appearance of the clergy, and asked the Mother of God to allow him to grow a long beard and never take off his cassock for any reason for the rest of his life.
"I come from Constantinople. In Constantinople, priests don't wear long beards, don't wear cassocks, don't even wear crosses. We wear suits and ties like modern people. We only put on vestments when we go to serve. In other cases, we don't wear cassocks. ... That's the kind of
“Satan is most bothered by the Liturgy, fasting, and prayer, but only the Orthodox Liturgy, because it alone has grace. What does this tell you? Behind that satanic thug Zelensky are many other forces, and behind those is Satan himself.”
-Metropolitan Neophytos of Morphou
St. Paul’s Antiochian Orthodox Church in Tupelo, Ms. My best friend used to go here when he was at Ole Miss (2014-2019), back then they had five people.
Fr Peter Heers (heretical rigorist, charlatan, grifter): “Become Orthodox and follow the saints.”
Ben Cabe (pious champion of Orthodoxy, defender of the Faith, basically a living saint):
Do not have heterodox partners. If your girlfriend/boyfriend is not Orthodox, my advice to you is to tell them right now to become a catechumen or it’s over. I’m serious. This is one of the last people I would’ve expected to apostatize and he did it for a girl. Pray for Ephraim.
The Fathers settled the transgender question in canon 8 of the Council of Constantinople in 869:
“The divine and sacred Canon of the Apostles judges those who castrate themselves as self-murderers;
@mister_bignuts
I feel sorry for him. I hope he eventually forgives them and finds peace, but I can’t imagine what he must be going through. (Assuming any of this is real, which it probably isn’t).
“We love Christ so much we’re going to be obnoxious and rude to people for no good reason in exchange for a five minute dopamine rush. This is how we convince sinners to repent.”
Elpidophoros has literally pissed off almost every bishop in the world. He pissed off the GOA bishops by attempting to change the charter without their blessing, he pissed off the EP by consecrating the National Shrine without him,
Hating women is not based, sexual disorders are not based, being racist is not based, Hellenism is not based, sentimentalizing ignorance and illiteracy is not based, disobeying the Canons is not based, burying your talents out of a false sense of humility is not based.
There’s a lot of excitement over the growth of Orthodoxy lately, but there’s also a lot of concern about the monumental task of catechizing so many people, which is something that we are already falling behind in, so I’m gonna make a thread about what you can do to help:
“I call on the entire fullness of the Russian Orthodox Church to offer a special, fervent prayer for the speedy restoration of peace”
-Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia
In the history of Orthodoxy in America, four bishops have been found to have incorrupt relics. Of those, three were ROCOR bishops (St. John Maximovich, Metropolitan Philaret, and Bishop Constantine Essensky) and one was an OCA bishop (Archbishop Dimitri).
Please do not have these stupid and demonic things in your home. St. John Chrysostom said that Christians have become a laughing stock among the pagans because they actually believed in it unlike the pagans. Same thing goes for any other talisman, idol, etc.
Please, for the love of God, do not pass this life without reading all of the Old and New Testaments at least once. Christ said that the Scriptures are the only thing in this world that will never pass away. Do not waste the life you’ve been given by not learning the Scriptures.
Please pray for James. This was in the Facebook group for the Greek church I used to attend, I remember he was a very sweet person who got caught up in some bad stuff.
