Requiring everyone in our schools to wear masks, regardless of their vaccination status, along with other proven mitigation measures, is the safest way for us to provide in-person school, five-days-a-week. Board approves reinstating mask requirement.
To best serve our students, staff & families, Boise Schools will be closed tomorrow, Mon., March 16th & will remain closed through Fri., March 27th. Office staff at all schools will be available tomorrow for parents to pick up student medications, personal belongings, etc.
Boise School Board votes unanimously to start 2020-21 school year online. School year begins August 17, 2020. In reaching the decision, the Board considered recommendation from Central District Health, public testimony and Administration recommendation.
We anticipate that the next election report will be the final report, but due to the high number of ballots yet to be counted, it could take two to three more hours before the final report is posted.
Congrats to Borah Senior Anthony Garcia, a Gates Scholarship recipient. This 4-year full ride scholarship is given to only 300 U.S. students, recognizing them for academic achievement, service & commitment. Anthony was chosen from 36,500 students.

Boise High Braves Athletic Complex Update: While not part of '17 Bond, it's a big investment in Boise High’s students. It contains regulation soccer fields, a junior varsity softball field, & a jr. high & sub-varsity football field. Parking lot & field house ready late August.
School in the Boise School District has been canceled for Thurs., Jan. 18, 2024, out of an abundance of caution due to the forecasted inclement weather, including prediction of freezing rain. In addition, neighborhood streets are becoming difficult for school buses to navigate.
