The other day an consultant said "Lets leave it to the children" Referencing myself and the other reg I replied "I'm almost 38, with a mortgage and wife, i definity don't feel like a child, I'm sure my colleague doesn't either" I was very pleased with myself!!

I make it a point of mentioning my wife at work. So that other healthcare professionals know that I am #lgbtq and a safe space for those who are not out, or not comfortable, or questioning their sexuality I wear @RainbowNHSBadge to represent these same values for my patients

@svig2 I’m not sure we need to treat people differently due to gender. I think we treat people differently as every person is different. There are stereotypes, some hold true, but for the most I’d like to think treating someone differently is about understanding them as a person
