Understatement of the century but this has been a great couple days for Pete Alonso. He’s obviously excelled on the field. But he also wasn’t afraid to be his honest, genuine self on this type of national stage as a rookie. He deserves to be one of the biggest stars in this game.

If you listen to Keith often, you know that him saying Soto isn't a "home run hitter" is his version of a compliment. Keith prefers line drive hitters like himself who go gap to gap instead of the launch angle guys who are trying to go deep.

The Mets are often guilty of being a mess and getting in their own way but I don’t like unnecessary pile-ons and that’s what the whole “ghosting” thing is IMO. A guy made a decision based on money. Totally get it. But I don’t need to hear his side’s philosophical rationalization.
