As for the #mets … let’s face it… this team just isn’t very good. They had a ton of injuries this season, but they also had a ton of under-performers. If I were to peg one thing… it’s a lack of offensive identity. This team should not be sub .500.

The transformation of this #mets offense with the new additions and Chavez as HC is incredible. They put together incredible AB’s and do what they need to in order to push runs across. RBI’s are still a skill, and they seem to do it VERY well.

I do not like this trade as stands… if the Padres included a higher end prospect to shed the money, sure, maybe… but Dom is a better offensive player than Hosmer and not a slouch defensively at 1b. Plus he has the flexibility of playing LF in a pinch. He’s younger, he’s more
