@jules0455 Yes. Mine pay rent. I was widowed at 43. They must wash up, put away, cook, hoover ( we all take it in turns) & since earning contribute to food bill, rent. Anywhere my kids go, they always offer to help tidy up after meals. I have a son ( with autism) & daughter. Considerate.

@SmartRachael What a lovely story. And it is true. My husband passed aged 48. He wanted his ashes scattered on top of Ben Lomond. On our walk up, a number of musicians overtook us, one with a double base. My kids found this the funniest thing. We laughed to the top & back down.

Have Brexiteers worked it out yet? Airline, & airport workers laid off due to Covid, are now working elsewhere. Full employment in the UK means a shortage of staff, to recruit. Like the hotel industry. And no means to recruit from outside the UK. Portugal not facing same problem.

@UB5simon Call me selfish, but I loved being in the EU. Both my kids went / are going to Universities in the EU, at home fees ( much cheaper than UK). My son is in the Netherlands, living with Dutch friends, my daughter now lives in Portugal, having taken her degree in Spain.

@cholatera Is yours a joke account? My son is studying in NL. Physics. Degree cost a couple of grand per annum. His Masters, a grand per annum. He gets excellent Autism support. My daughter took her degree in Salamanca, speaks 5 languages. Degree cost 1k per annum.

@BrexitBin My mother had a massive stroke. After 5 months in hospital went home. Dad could neverhave coped without amazing carers. The unsung, & underpaid heroes who take the load off us. Dealing with dementia, stroke etc.Most were from EU. They did a really tough job, with kindness. Thanks

@B_Strawbridge @florencerounda2 My partner farms. They rent land off some London rich boy. Rich boy was going to cut all of the trees down. They reported him. No trees cut down at this time. Ironically, London rich boy appears to not work, nor need to. He is early 40's. It seems to be driven by greed.

@Jacob_Rees_Mogg My partner is a UK Farmer. He voted Remain, as he believes the UK govt too incompetant to negotiate any deal, on behalf of anyone. Farmers & fishermen have been shafted. You said red tape would be cut. Lies or incompetance? & Vax rollout in UK is not superior to EU. Stop lying.

@BladeoftheS My partner farms. He has had multiple serious injuries. His foot was crushed by the machine that puts potato stitches in the ground aged 9. At 53, his hip sockets torn, f*cked back. It’s a really physical job. Like many in tough jobs their bodies can only do it so long.
