How blessed we are to have Queen Elizabeth II as our Sovereign. Her Majesty continues to inspire us even in difficult times - her Christian values shine through. God Save the Queen
Two very poor political decisions by SDLP in recent days - court injunction against bonfire & naming Soldier F. Clearly playing populist card within Nat/ Rep constituency but doing enormous damage to community relations in the process. Not good
@uuponline
Robin Swann continues to act solely in the health interests of everyone in NI by calling in help from the MOD. Contrast his leadership with that of SF. It’s simply a matter of life and death- there’s only one option. Do the right thing- support Robin

I want to pay tribute to Robin Swann MLA & Health Minister for the sheer class and true leadership he has shown in recent days. He has soared high over all with his decency, integrity & honesty. So proud of him

This day I remember Lance Bomdr Stephen Restorick murdered by PIRA sniper whilst manning a checkpoint in Bessbrook in 1997. He was only 23 and the last soldier to die in Operation Banner.

The “Unionist day out” comment by
@johnfinucane
regarding the visit of the Prime Minister of the UK to NI today was delivered with real venom. It simply confirms the contempt he and his SF colleagues have for Unionists here. So much for respect! Disgusting.

On behalf of the Ulster Unionist Party I offer our Deepest sympathy to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth on the passing of her husband HRH Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. The nation will mourn with you and your family at this sad time

The Altnaveigh massacre, outside Newry, took place 100 years ago today. Note the biblical inscription on the memorial tablet in Altnaveigh Orange Hall. “Vengeance is mine. I will repay, saith the Lord”

Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mrs Jean Lemmon, Bessbrook whose husband Joseph was murdered at Kingsmills with 9 other innocent workmen. Jean was a fine person who never allowed bitterness to overwhelm her in spite of personal tragedies. My sympathy to her family
Barry McElduff posing with a loaf of Kingsmills bread on his head on this the anniversary weekend of that dreadful sectarian atrocity. He is unfit to be a public representative and he and his Party should be ashamed and apologise. Shame on you Barry McElduff

I’ve tried over many long years to assist Alan Black & the Kingsmills families in their campaign for truth & justice. I’ve always known the Irish Govt wasn’t interested but for HMG to close down any remaining chance is just despicable. Shame on them

James Stronge was murdered by the PIRA along with his father, Sir Norman Stronge in their family home at Tynan Abbey on this day in 1981. James was an honourable man compared to his killers - he chose to stay with his elderly father rather than attempt to escape.Lest We Forget

The SF leadership silence on McElduff & O’Mullieor is deafening. It proves they are not interested in equality or respect. They won’t condemn the Kingsmills atrocity, they name a children’s play after someone involved in it and now they mock the victims, families and survivor.
Thanks to Miriam O’Callaghan for the sensitive way she allowed Alan Black to tell his story of Kingsmills. Alan Black is a truly remarkable man

Today is the 45th anniversary of the Kingsmills massacre. Please listen to the sole survivor, Alan Black MBE as he recounts that horrific evening. After 45 long years, Alan and the victims families deserve and demand truth and justice. Please, never forget Kingsmills.

in 1976 the IRA murdered John McConville, 20. 1 of 10 Protestants murdered in the Kingsmill Massacre. Workmen were returning home from a textile factory on a dark, wet evening along a rural road. Mr McConville was due to go to Scotland to train as a missionary

McElduff’s apology doesn’t cut it. His video was online for nearly 36 hours before he decided to remove it
His views, & those who endorsed them are beneath contempt. Whilst the families of Kingmills have suffered for 42 years Republicans have not changed. What now for Stormont?
Simple Act of Remembrance today at Bessbrook Cenotaph to mark the life and service of Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II organised by Bessbrook District LOL No11. God Save the King
