Why do wealthy people take on debt ? It’s the tax loophole your mom didn’t teach you when you were going to school: debt is tax free. You sell a property for a profit ? Pay tax. You refinance a property ? No tax. You sell stock at profit ? Pay tax. Loan against stock ? No tax.

@JoeCassandra Maybe it’s just our location but food also isn’t that good. My wife cooks much better food. The Chinese restaurant I buy at costs $12 a dish and I split it to two lunches. Costco sells a full huge pepperoni pizza for $10. The chain restaurants - we just stopped going.

@Camp4 Had the opposite happen to me. My 911 is my crown jewel of toys, it was my dream car as a kid and I recently picked it up. It gives me (rightfully) the sense of achievement. I find myself going out to the garage just to look at it. When I drive it I feel like I made it.
