Some people forget how long it takes to learn cyber as a language. I don't mean coding, I mean the industry speak we have become so comfortable spewing. You once didn't know what a VM was. Be nice to people who don't know wtf you are talking about, and don't be a bully.
Our team is hiring. Research analysts interested in the intersection of process + cybersecurity. Think securing manufacturing, automation, smart cities deployments, data centers, etc. - can be jr or sr role. & get to work with ME 😈
DM me if interested!
Anyone know of any entry level cybersecurity analyst jobs open? Cybersecurity community college grad (hell yeah!) looking to get their foot in the door somewhere!
My sweet boy is likely in his final weeks or months of life here with us. My heart aches. I got Van when I was 19. I thought I knew everything then but many days I was alone and he was all I had. 😟💔
When someone asks you for help getting a cybersecurity job with a non-technical background and you give them alternative routes for cyber and they respond with "I’m not interested in starting I’m another field thanks" --- 👀
Tonight my dad called to tell me he was proud, nearly in tears, because a simple blog I wrote was re-published in Forbes. When my name was in Science Magazine it didn’t resonate for him or others. Bottom line, we need to connect big ideas with regular. people.
Now that no one will see my face in public today I can share that my cousin was killed in a car accident last night. This isn’t for you to feel sad for me.
This man was 35 years old. Live your life according to nobody’s demands except your own, & tell your people you love them.
I’ve heard about the massive cybersecurity talent void for over 6 years now and in that time I’ve seen people desperate to dip their toes and dive head first into the deep end of this field so what has been missing?
A lot of people in infosec and online in general have really cool and really, really expensive hobbies.
If you’re saving, eating at home, praying for the raise or promotion, whatever it is. You’re not alone and the highlight reel isn’t everything. Your joy will come soon ❤️
We all love to share the pretty pictures or the highlight reel, but most days this is what I look like and this is where you can find me. Hair up, makeup free, reading writing and learning 🤓 (and always forgetting to charge my wireless headphones like the cool kids do)
I truly love how *most* cyber folk who have made it don’t really throw money in your face they’re just like “yeah I like to pay my mortgage, game and eat really good food.” Yee-Haw.
Spreading fear and paranoia about cyber attacks helps literally no one prepare for and defend against cyber attacks. Not a single person. Anywhere. AT all.
It was an honor to talk about the threats to critical infrastructure and the gaps in international cyber conflict on behalf of

and Christian Sorensen.
Lots of you make fun of my religion and that doesn’t really bother me. More Christians have perverted our message to meet their political, judgmental, and self righteous ends. That’s the opposite of the message of a deeply human God. Not ok.
Praise forever to the King of Kings.
Idk who needs to hear this before major cons, but if you don’t enjoy going out, drinking, partying, etc. and feel overwhelming peer/professional pressure to do so, don’t.
If it’s your jam, get lit fam. If it isn’t, put on those hotel slippers and Dateline and be at peace. Tyvm.
