@ConnieSchultz
Conservatives, on Black Lives Matter: "Stop whining. You don't have it that bad."
Conservatives, on not being able to eat at Applebee's for a few months:
@BGreenzweig
@NKingofDC
"Only when workers are willing to risk their lives for shit wages will the economy recover" is not quite the argument you think it is.
@_Chett_Manly
@sunraysunray
yeah I'm sure labor losing its ability to effectively negotiate has nothing to do with the wealthy getting wealthier. total and utter coincidence.
@FunWithTrust
@JEAlexander
@scrowder
Conservatives finding out that capitalists don't have any principles whatsoever will never not be funny. Lucy and football type stuff at this point.
@JasonD765
@GPrime85
the left: "Corporations have too much power."
the right: "Fuck you, you lazy moochers! The job creators know best!"
*a company bans a dude who incited a coup attempt*
the right:
@BlakeMcD1
@a727_trans
@MissngLnk
@muffenboy2003
lol I love how Crowder has like seventeen different types of debate.
"No, DEAR SIR, this is NOT the same as a Crowder Confronts or a Change My Mind. You must have AT LEAST 90% of my follower count and send my father a notice THIRTY DAYS in advance for me to debate you on Zoom."
@shershot99
@benshapiro
So people whose labor is essential to the functioning of the economy should not be paid well and have better working conditions?
@JCA_BelAir
@DwightKSchruteA
@katelinthicum
Yeah I really wish the United States hadn't overthrown governments on behalf of banana companies and backed genocidal regimes. Capitalism kills.
@jbouie
I love this sudden concern conservatives have for the unemployed. I recall a time not so long ago when they were calling them lazy moochers and all that.
@b8tch_updates
We watched Do the Right Thing in one of my political science classes. Most of my fellow students were angrier at Mookie for breaking Sal's window than they were at the cops for murdering Radio Raheem.
@EricLevitz
One of the central ironies of American history is that the most despised and feared groups (black slaves, Chinese railroad workers, undocumented immigrants, etc., etc.) have been indispensable to the functioning of the American economy.
@sullydish
My man, one of the reasons conservatives embrace fascism is because it's deemed a bulwark against "revolution" lol please, I beg you, read a single book not written by Charles Murray.
@joshj93482493
@sjfostersound
@THR
Ah, yes. Creating a 3-hour movie in which the protagonists time travel in order to reverse genocide committed on a universal scale is a classic toy-selling tactic.
@JewishWorker
@benshapiro
Ben only likes the parts of his faith that he thinks give him permission to be a bigot. The rest of it doesn't matter to him.
@Sorry_What_Now
@sullydish
If he'd been alive during Reconstruction he would've 100% supported abandoning black Southerners in the name of "reconciliation" with the white South.
@benshapiro
Ben in 1964: "There is no such as systemic racism. Southern voting laws do not explicitly mention race, therefore they cannot be discriminatory. Facts and logic."
@nypost
"The most important difference between the Eternals and X-Men, however, is that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Halle Berry’s Storm are layered, fascinating character studies."
lol uh, Halle Berry's Storm got almost nothing to do
@MaraWilson
I want someone to make a movie where a group of Satanists rescues kids from an evangelical cult or an abusive priest or something. Would represent reality far better than what we usually get.
@its_kduff
@bariweiss
@petersavodnik
Nope, it's all these "anti-woke" types have. They so badly want to be martyrs and the only way to do that is to pretend there's some second Cultural Revolution that's coming.
@Genders_Game
@fellawhomstdve
I yearn for the days when the American public embraced sophisticated cinema and elected such thoughtful and egalitarian leaders as *squints* Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan.
@chrislhayes
29% of Boston's population is foreign-born. The number's 37% for New York. I don't think the right realizes weren't not as triggered by the presence of foreigners as they are.
@onesarahjones
Conservatives: "Communists were/are monsters for viewing parts of their population as expendable."
Also conservatives: "Let the old and poor die to protect my portfolio!!!"
@jonrosenberg
@RanqueBenoit
"Why didn't Andrei Tarkovsky make movies that are shorter and more accessible!?! What, was he too cool for the average filmgoer?"
@jonrosenberg
@RanqueBenoit
You know, I wouldn't even really care if the game did have accessibility options, but getting mad that it doesn't seems a bit much. And the thing is, open-world games that are much easier or have those options are still time-consuming. It's kinda what they're all about.
@CosmonautMarcus
I'm going to adopt a British accent and start a YouTube channel called The Critical Mauler where I make 10-hour videos crying that there are too many ladies in the Jurassic Park franchise.
