I really cringe when I hear people talk about how their profession is "paid less than shop assistants...refuge workers...fast food workers" It's a way to instantly devalue what that worker does. Don't do it.

I've two toddlers with scarlet fever. There's a local outbreak! So look out for the symptoms: high temp, tonsillitis, a red face, "sand paper" rash all over the body. Thankfully it's treatable with an antibiotic. You should get it seen too by a Dr as it can lead to complications.

@JamieBrysonCPNI I deleted it because I didn't want to perpetuate it. I'm disgusted you would seek to inflame sectarian tensions. I'm not afraid to say that, Jamie.

Mark Carruthers exposes how weak and untenable the DUPs continued boycott is. People are literally dying due to a seriously compromised health service. DUP seek to remain in step with the UK - well on health we are light-years apart.

I'm heading onto the @bbctheview tonight to discuss the #CostofLivingCrisis . As we watch the slow mo car crash at Westminster. As we head towards a pointless election - people are hungry, people are cold, people are scared.

Shocked to hear a member of the public on #Newsnight suggest that she feels the social security system puts people off going to uni because they can make more Β£ on benefits... what?!

She said she has no other choice but to rely on the kindness of others. She has no nappies, she looked ill & wasn't producing breastmilk. I cannot get that child's face out of my head. A stark e.g. of the harsh and hostile environment for people who want to contribute.

@AmandaFBelfast Fitzpatrick/devlin don’t sound like dup names. If they said that already then how getting the DUP back solve anything for this winter. It is an international energy crisis and there is no magic money tree!

A generous family friend is letting us stay at their cottage on Arranmore Island this weekend - so my crew & my sister's crew (5 kids, 5 & under) are heading on an adventure! πŸŽ‰ Does anyone else remember piling into a wee Irish house with their 57395738 cousins? Best craic ever!

Another tone deaf contribution to the normalisation of foodbanks c/o a party who won't get back around the table & find away to distribute the circa Β£272m of COL funding held up in the Executive Coffers. Please help our people. You are leaving them out in the cold. #CrushedbyCOL

Unpopular opinion...these pumpkin patches are capitalism at its worst. Me & my sister took the weans (peer pressure) & by the time I got home I was ready for the hills. Bring back low key black bin bag parties with a few wee sparklers & bobbing for apples. We'd the best childhood

This paragraph from @NewtonEmerson is spot on this morning. The "provincial bourgeoisie" is burying its head in the sand & bedding down to look after number 1, while society falls apart.

Just thinking aloud - if it's true the NIO spent Β£7m to facilitate an important visit last week & this scheme which supports hundreds of young people has been cut for the sake of Β£9m - all involved have to take a hard long look at it. Absolutely sickening.
