Trust actions seem to be about performance and budget management very little about staff wellbeing

@BMA_JuniorDocs
It is ridiculous you have known about the strikes for a couple of weeks. Many tens of thousands of hours have been spent for contingency planning across the country and you tweet this Friday evening. No wonder most people don’t have faith in the present government
@PennyMordaunt
You are using video of one of my colleagues

in St James Hospital. This I believe was paid for by
@RCEMLEEDSCPD
for the conference in 2016. Produced by
@rogerkinder
have you asked for permission or credited the producer?
Well done Arran Gaunt one of the

and
@LeedsHospitals
emergency medicine consultants for finishing his first marathon in 3:54:55 only slightly behind one of regular locums Philip Sesemann who was first British runner in 2:12:58

This is absolutely not a hoax, we have some very sick patients, and some people needing surgery will have their operations delayed so we have capacity to treat the sick patients in our hospitals
#staysafeoutthere
We have 263 patients in our beds who have tested positive for COVID-19, including 22 in intensive care. This means we have more COVID-19 patients in our hospitals than at the peak of the pandemic in mid-April. Please read and share this important update:
Just completed the Ilkley Half Marathon. Disappointed in the time but I guess that is the effect of working in
@MyiED
and having to stay in until 3 AM on Saturday morning due to long waits. Anyway off to bed shortly as have volunteered for a night shift to help colleagues
Marathon number 20 ticked off. You would think with all that experience I would feel better after finishing 🤣

Anyway ~17 minutes quicker than the

There is only one right answer Xabi Alonso. Others might say Robbie Fowler or Torres both great players but past their best when they left.
My daughter is 17 today and had her first driving lesson. Her instructor asked her where the blind spot was and she said above her....I guess she was right 🤔

@BimAfolami
Emma you are quite correct. The instructions were clear. Don’t leave your house if symptomatic don’t go to a second house. Exceptional circumstances were for cases of domestic violence for example.

I suggest you read

by
@BarristerSecret
who concisely explains with good examples why we need to be members of the EHCR to protect us from politicians threatening our rights. There is no mandate to leave EHCR. The referendum was leaving the EU not EHCR
Interesting as I have asthma plus flu jab strongly advised not to social mix and have friends or family across. What about working on the front line? Must be many health care workers in same position as me. We can’t all be off
#difficulttimes
Well the
@Conservatives
have won a majority. Now over the next 5 years we need to hold them to account. Remember 50,000 extra nurses 6,000 extra doctors, 40 new hospitals. Increased opportunities that Brexit will bring us. An oven ready Brexit deal.

Good luck Neco you were a little unlucky to be at Liverpool when the amazing

was around otherwise you would have played far more. Good luck at Forest. Tough season ahead but a great club.

Telling they are more concerned about refugees crossing the channel than 6 million people waiting for treatment on the NHS and 12 plus hour waits to see a doctor in A&E
Really impressed by the amount of planning being done both at National and Local level to help fight

Remember stay at home if you can, wash your hands.

If we all work together we will get through the other side.

As someone who is an ED consultant in Leeds. There is an approved and transparent process. The rota coordinator does not have a “special” list of staff. The rostering team in Leeds as in many ED work really hard to ensure maximum fill of shifts. While working within a budget.
@mattdiscombe
but main issues are social care in crisis so no patient flow in hospitals leading to long ED waits. Poor workforce planning has lead to insufficient staff to see and look after patients. NHS trusts can not do this.
@TomTugendhat
this is what 12 years of Tory rule has produced
It was nice to get a big around of applause at
#DHSS19
for my contribution on the left shift panel discussion. Though it was only because I said nothing more to stay can’t stop delegates getting to their coffee
#itsnotalltech
@carolecadwalla
many workplaces can not have everybody back and be COVID secure. In the NHS in offices we are needing to maintain 2 m social distancing so room capacity can be 25-50% of previous. Home working is necessary to achieve this. Plus more productive as saving 90 minute commute/day
@Rosy_roo_roo
@ChrisCEOHopson
Chris represents acute trusts so focus will be on that sector. Though mention pressures are system wide. NHS copes admirably with the pressures it is under. Emergency Departments are seeing activity 20% higher with limited staffing levels. You can’t magic up nurses and doctors
@bmay
The video needs a bit more trimming. Not sure why she has included a video clip of the St James’s Emergency department from 2016. It does highlight how we sweat the assets in the NHS (and lack of funding). We are still using this computer and monitor (maybe a new keyboard)
