I actually wore a bandana covering my face, nose down, to go to the bank today. Whole time I'm thinking, 'I've convicted people on less evidence than this ...'
I should be watching baseball but, hey
@MLB
, if you’re gonna make it political, I’m out. All I want to do is watch the great deGrom, but if you’re gonna make lefty political messaging the price tag, I can find other stuff to do. I’ll miss you.
It takes 2 things to appoint a justice: POTUS's nomination and Senate majority approval. In 2016, if Dems had the latter, Obama would've gotten 3d justice. That would not have been 'packing.' Dems didn't have it, and Obama therefore didn't get 3d. That's how Const'l system works.
Why do I think that, if a Democrat were targeted, classified leaks, perjury traps, massaging FBI reports, misleading a court about the provenance of those reports, and concealing from the court a threat to prosecute the defendant’s son, would not be OK?
Chinese communist regime still claims only a couple of hundred people died in Tiananmen Square massacre. Why would anyone take COVID19 figures it puts out at face value?
I just have one question after reading totally appropriate Flynn-Kislyak calls. Of the Obama officials who framed General Flynn as a clandestine agent of Russia, how many of them put their lives on the line for the United States like he did?
If this story is true, the Court should issue its opinion right away. Otherwise the disgraceful leak wins. I would say that if my side lost. If we lose the integrity of the Court’s process, we lose the Court. That should be intolerable to all of us who live the country.
What a time to be in journalism: Between Bobulinski and the Biden corruption scandal, rioting in our cities, a new Supreme Court justice’s first full day, and peace breaking out in the Middle East, has there ever been so much to *not* cover!?!
When we hear reports like
#Baghdadi
raid, I’m just taken aback by the valor and skill of our forces, and how we so often take for granted that we owe the unprecedented comfort in which we live to these extraordinary Americans.
Is everything over-simplified in a Twitter world? POTUS never said turn the economy back on and ignore the health crisis. He said we need to deal with both crises, draw the right balance, and make sure the cure is not worse than the disease. That's common sense.
Go back to school in September? What about NOW? In September, you’re gonna tell us ‘second wave’ ... How will it be different from now? These kids are screwed. What’s the evidence that they’re at risk going to school, or the prom, or playing baseball or running track?
Sir, in mobster lingo, a ‘rat’ is a witness who tells prosecutors real incriminating info. Perhaps a different word? Searches of lawyer’s offices common enough that DOJ has a procedure for them. Here it yielded evidence of crimes you said he should be jailed for. You should stop.
Remember, Michael Cohen only became a “Rat” after the FBI did something which was absolutely unthinkable & unheard of until the Witch Hunt was illegally started. They BROKE INTO AN ATTORNEY’S OFFICE! Why didn’t they break into the DNC to get the Server, or Crooked’s office?
Bobulinski a very credible witness: smart, sensible motivation (outraged that he was implicated in purported Russian disinfo), challenged people to read the documentary corroboration and question other witnesses. Tucker did great job fading to black and letting witness narrate.
I happen to be one of handful of people in US who has prosecuted a seditious conspiracy case (to conviction). Claims that the anonymous op-ed is treasonous or seditious are lunacy, with an icky cult vibe. Please stop. Thank you.
Hey
@dbongino
, you did law enforcement people proud in the House yesterday. Said all the right things exactly the right way, with pride, humility, and heart. Thank you.
Rosenstein 'scope' memo was written and concealed because he failed to comply with regs in appointing Mueller, and was itself rife with problems and reliant on Steele dossier and other nonsense. From 2 yrs ago:
Obvious but still worth noting that hysteria over Kavanaugh is strictly political. No one in America would claim he is not a brilliant lawyer. He is controversial only because he will faithfully apply the law rather than use it as a tool to advance the ‘progressive’ agenda.
Our experience suggests that hydroxychloroquine should be a first-line treatment for Covid-19. We can use it to save lives and prevent others from becoming infected, write

Biden doesn’t support the Green New Deal.
Oh, Wallace got that out of him?
No, Trump did.
Oh, well, did Wallace clarify what’s parts of Green New Deal Biden is against?
No, needed to move on ...
In my Friday evening

Corner column on Clinesmith’s Russiagate guilty plea, some memories of the Schiff Memo and the counterintelligence -v- criminal issue ...
I had no problem with
#Kavanaugh
temperament when he was being attacked, but even if I had, he was not a judge in that context. He was a witness (and nearly in posture of an accused). If you want to evaluate judicial temperament, you have to look at his 12 years as a judge.
For anyone who needs to hear it.
@VP
is not only a vital partner to
@POTUS
but a bold leader who has taken on key, important challenges facing the country—from voting rights to addressing root causes of migration to expanding broadband.
“Thank you to Wayne Allyn Root for the very nice words. “President Trump is the greatest President for Jews and for Israel in the history of the world, not just America, he is the best President for Israel in the history of the world...and the Jewish people in Israel love him....
What is Judge Sullivan thinking? A judge tells Court of Appeals he needs a lawyer to represent him on his management and rulings in a case? Where outcome, whether he likes it or not, is obvious under Circuit precedent? Are plaudits for anti-Trump cred worth his reputation? 1/2
Why isn’t the moderator prepared with quotes of what Harris and Biden have said about fracking and GND? It’s not like she didn’t know this was coming up.
Do you people think you’re not allowed to call terrorists ‘terrorists’ unless Big Brother designates them as such? Antifa is TERRORIST! Terrorist, terrorist, terrorist. See how easy?
There are 144 million more people in Russia who will never see the inside of an American courtroom. If Mueller indicts all of them, his stats will be *really* impressive ... and there’ll still be no Trump espionage conspiracy against the election.
So he wasn’t saying the letter was inaccurate, but was worried about media coverage and whether his narrative would dictate it. Story of the whole investigation. We can read the report ... the rest is diva noise.
Al lot of us SAID a lot of things.
@SidneyPowell1
DID things and persisted when I didn’t see how she could pull it off.
@GenFlynn
should never have been investigated, much less prosecuted. But he needed great help ... and he got it.
I hope Justice Ginsburg recovers, keeps doing her job, and lives to be 150 ... unless she’d like to live longer. She’s a great American who loves this country. She’s got a different vision of the good from mine, but she’s always been respectful of other views. God bless her.
They said we didn’t spy on campaign. When we pointed to CarterPage, they said he was out of campaign then (tho warrant allowed seizure of past campaign comms). Now, it’s undeniable they spied on campaign, so they say it was for campaign’s own good.
President
@realDonaldTrump
was booed loudly by the fans at Nats Parks when he was shown on the big screen during the World Series.
They then began chanting “Lock him up.”
So far, no need for Biden to answer whether he’ll pack the court, no need for Biden to answer whether he endorses Black Lives Matters ... but Trump pressed to condemn white supremacists. Then Biden says Antifa is an idea not an organization ... yet no question about that.
Very simple: Trump can’t win. 65% already against him. That’s before Dems launch barrage after getting him nominated. If we finally grasp that, his support will collapse. If not, we lose everything, and Dems use majorities to remake Supreme Court. Nominate him if you want, but…
Soleimani killed hundreds of Americans and had designs on killing countless more. His loss is a major blow to Iran. Acting in our defense is never certain, but the good guys won today — and Trump’s approach is better than paying off the bad guys or pretending they’re not so bad.
It is a federal felony, up to 10 yrs’ imprisonment, to be an illegal alien in possession of firearm (18 USC secs.922(g), 924). DOJ should indict Zarate if haven’t already. Sentence consecutive to today’s state gun conviction could keep him in prison 13 yrs or so.
....FISA abuse, Christopher Steele & his phony and corrupt Dossier, the Clinton Foundation, illegal surveillance of Trump Campaign, Russian collusion by Dems - and so much more. Open up the papers & documents without redaction? Come on Jeff, you can do it, the country is waiting!
Governments are created to secure our fundamental rights. If the Constitution still means anything, it is not your burden to prove your job is ‘essential.’ It is the government’s burden to prove your job can’t be operated safely.
Why hasn't anyone, particularly Sens Graham or Grassley, asked Rosenstein whether he actually read the FISA application he signed? He keeps talking about 'what I understood' was in it. Did he read request for a warrant to investigate POTUS's associates before signing it?
In new episode of TheMcCarthyReport,
@RichLowry
and I look at the Rosenstein 'scope memo' that authorized Mueller's probe and collapsing Flynn prosecution. Hope you'll tune in.
I do not see how POTUS could have made a better choice than Bill Barr for AG. He is simply excellent - supremely qualified, confident, smart, steeped in the honorable traditions of DOJ, and an all around good guy. He can right the ship and navigate through the storms.
How is this helping Kamala? Amy has no notes and is swatting the questions out of the park, Kamala - the great former prosecutor - can’t even get thru the questions without her binder.
I also don't get this: This president is so unfit it endangers the nation every second he's there. He must be impeached even though we have an election coming up ... and we're going to get to that right after we get back from our 10-day vacation ...
We're on 5th senator questioning Rosenstein, 3 GOP, and still no one has asked him whether he read the FISA application that he signed and still claims was 'verified.'
Sorry no column this weekend or podcast this week. We’re trying to mend our broken hearts. We lost our Gelly last night, peacefully after too much pain. Hoping for a happier, healthier 2022. See you then, and have a very merry Christmas.
I'm very happy for the country because Justice Kavanaugh will do his best, which means he'll do well. I'm very worried for the country because the rule of law only beat the mob by 50-48 ... and right up until the end, it could have gone either way.
Rule of thumb: Don’t lie to me. I don’t want to hear that POTUS didn’t want to incite panic. Just tell me the truth, I’ll decide whether to panic. That said, if you were ok with jihadist terrorism portrayed for 8 years as ‘man-caused disaster,’ take your indignation elsewhere.
While Dems trip over themselves investigating in the House, Senate must assembly-line-confirm Trump’s nominees. And White House must make sure, pronto, that there is a nominee for every vacancy.
