Rwhipple, my fav operation. I keep trying different approaches to learn the anatomy from diff angles. Here I tried the uncinate first approach and kept going until I saw the vein of Belcher & GDA from this side which was fascinating. Pancreatic transection became last step 😃

I book all cases robotic. Sometimes I have to open. One should never open for bleeding, it’s easy to control bleeding with the robot, and if you have to open, only after you have control with pressure or the patient will exsanguinate by the time you undock and open..

Uncinate first or uncinate lift technique has become my favorite approach to robo-whipple. I finish the most risky part of the operation i.e the uncinate dissection first then the surgery becomes all of a sudden easy 😃
