The Bus Éireann 20/X20 route was privatised and is now cancelled for not being profitable enough for the private operator. Public transport is an essential public service and should be ran as such, not left to the whims of private companies.

Galway Coach Station was built on public land with public money (the City Council won a design award for it!), but is run by a private operator who is charging the private bus companies fees they're refusing to pay. So they're using the public path/road outside for free instead.

I see Varadkar let the mask slip again. Quite apart from being "free housing", public housing on public land would be a great investment for the state. Over time tenants would pay many times the cost of construction in rents, supplying a longterm income for the state.

Seems to be an incredible amount of school outbreaks if my TL is anything to go by. Government seem determined to bury their head in the sand on the issue of safety in schools. Cases have clearly spiked since schools reopened.
